Concord & 9TH┃Holiday Release W2 Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, crafty friends! It’s feature Friday week 2 as Concord&9th guest designer so therefore today, I’d like to share with you this set of “Joyful Holiday” cards that I’ve made using once again Candy Stripe Background Stamp and Full of Joy Bundle, Iconic Christmas Bundle, Assorted Color Cardstock plus, their Ink Cubes Bundle. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made them ↓

To begin with, I started by creating the background for the card so to do that first, I’ve started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool the largest JIG from the Turnabout Jigs set. Second, I’ve lined up the turnabout alignment aid included in the Iconic Christmas Bundle, and once I’ve had them lined up, I lined up the stamp set from the bundle and last but not least, I’ve removed the alignment aid and I quickly went ahead to line up and temporarily adhere with Repositionable Adhesive Dots a white card panel over the JIG. Thus, after I’ve had gotten the card panel onto place, I started the stamping so, for the stamping I used, Ballet Slipper, Aqua Sky, Sea Glass (all included in the Ink Cubes Bundle) and, as the last turn I’ve used embossing ink because, I wanted to add a touch of gold by gold heat embossing the stamping.

Therefore, after I’ve had the stamping and heat embossing done, I went ahead to trim down the edges of the card panel and I got the backing adhered with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base. Right after I’ve had the card base set up, I went ahead to trim a white card panel to W 2-3/4’’ X H 4.0’’ inches. So, once I’ve had the small card panel done, I went ahead to placed it inside the stamping tool to get the sentiments stamp and gold heat embossed. Therefore, after I’ve had the sentiment stamp over the small card panel, I layered it up over a slightly larger gold card panel and right afterwards, I went ahead to mount it over the card base with craft foam tape to add dimension. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to embellish the card panel by adhering down with craft foam tape 3 small Christmas tress (as shown in the image above) which I’ve had previously die-cut using the Christmas tree die from the bundle along with 3 with the coordinated color cardstock from the Assorted Color Cardstock. Finally, as finishing touches, I also glued down with liquid glue tiny stars which, I’ve also previously die-cut using the star die included in the set and last but certainly not least, I glued down jewels as if they were sparkly ornaments hanging from the trees!

For the second example, I created a trifold card using the Full of Joy Bundle so therefore, I went ahead to line up the Joy die included in the bundle over a large piece of Ballet Slipper color cardstock. Once, I’ve had them both lineup, I’ve gone ahead to run them through the my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Therefore, after I’ve had done the die-cutting, I’ve gone ahead to fold the scoring line created from the die and then right after, I’ve gone ahead to adhered it down (as shown in the image above) to the very edge of an A2 side folding white card base. Then, to add a touch of gold, I went ahead to trim down a stripe of gold cardstock which right afterwards, I’ve gotten adhered down with double-sided tape over the pink stripe. Moving on, after I’ve had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to stamp a sentiment so to do that, I’ve lined up 2 sentiments from the Iconic Christmas Turnabout Stamp and I’ve gotten stamp using Sea Glass & Ballet Slipper inks.

Lastly, I’ve closed the top from the side folding card base, and I’ve gone ahead to get the card panel adhered with double-sided tape. Which, by the way I’ve created the card panel by stamping once as is the Candy Stripe Background Stamp and by rotating it 90 degrees to one side to create this pattern using Ballet Slipper ink.

Finally, to finish the card off, I’ve gone ahead to close it completely and then, I’ve gone ahead to glued down the gold die-cutting Joy words along with the white textured sparkly Joy which, I’ve had previously created by die-cutting the inner word dies included in the bundle. Then, I’ve gone ahead to embellish the card by gluing down (as shown in the image above) a snowflake and a stocking which I’ve had also previously created using the small iconic dies from the Iconic Christmas Die Set. Last but certainly not least, I’ve gone ahead to mount a sentiment which I’ve had gold embossed and die-cut using the banner die included in the bundle, and as a finishing touch I’ve gone ahead to glue down a few gold jewels to add a touch of sparkle!
