Happy Saturday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you this set of modern and sophisticated “Christmas” cards that, I’ve created with the newest Alex Syberia Designs September-2020 Digital Stamp Release. Besides sharing the details on how I made these cards using some of the digi-stamps from this release… I also would like to invite you to hop over my Instagram feed, as these cards are part of the fabulous Instagram Hop Release so therefore, don’t miss out the opportunity of winning 1 out of 5 $10.00 gift certificates, a direct link will be added at the end of the post in case you want to hop along with us. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
As per usual in every digital stamp release, I started by downloading and printing each image so, for the first example, I’ve gone ahead to print the Lovely Bouquet Digital Stamp on a Strathmore Smooth Bristol Paper.
That said, after I’ve got the image printed, I placed the printed sheet over my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface and I secured it with the magnets. Therefore, soon after that I’ve gone ahead to get the water-coloring done on each of the flowers using a mix of Blue, Beige, Burgundy/Purple, Pink and different Green hues which, I’ve had previously mixed on my mixing palette using a combination of Pinkfresh Watercolor Collection, W&N Designers Gouache, White Nights Watercolor & W&N Neutral Tint. Thus, after I’ve had done water-coloring the floral cluster and it was completely dry, I’ve gone ahead to trim the edges down from the card panel and then, I’ve gone ahead to adhered it down with double-sided tape to an A2 side folding Kraft card base. Then, to finish the card off, I placed it inside my stamping tool, and I’ve gone ahead to stamp 2 Christmas sentiments on the lower right side of the card with Detail Black Ink.
By the way, the sentiments are from the Iconic Christmas Turnabout Stamp Set.
The second example was much simpler as all I did was to print and watercolor the Christmas Ornament with the sentiment included digital stamp. So, therefore for the water-coloring I’ve kept it simple as, I’ve used the same color combination to get the water-coloring done for the ornaments just like I did for the previous example except that I didn’t use the green hues.
Other than that, I’ve gone ahead to use my Coliro Metallic Watercolor Palette to add metallic gold accents to the ornaments, and once I’ve had done the water-coloring and it was completely dry, I’ve gone ahead to trim the edges down and I adhered down with double-sided tape the backing of the card panel to an A2 side folding Kraft card base.
Finally, to finish both cards off, I’ve gone ahead to glued down here and there with liquid glue a mix Crystal Confetti and tiny Blue and Burgundy Diamond Dotz for an extra touch of sparkle! So, that’s all friends!
