Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a “Holiday” slimline inspiration card I made using Under the Christmas Tree Stencil Set, Under the Christmas Tree Stamp and Under the Christmas Tree Die for a Christmassy looking. Also, I’m using Slim Diagonal Stripes Die to add texture to the card background + Essentials Slimline Envelope Die Set to make a coordinating handmade envelope. Along with theses fabulous sets, I’ve also used Artistic Bows Die Set and Metallic Pearls -Gold to embellish the card and PFS- Inks to add those beautiful pop of colors. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started off by placing an A2 size white card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch. And then, I went ahead to line up over the card panel the guide lines from stencil #1 including in Under the Christmas Tree Stencil Set. Next, as soon as I had them line up, I went ahead to start inking it up the card panel over the stencil using an ink blending brush along with Ocean Breeze Ink.
Next, I continued the ink up for the layered stenciling for the card background. Thus, I went ahead to use stencil #2 along with Aquamarine Ink to add the second layer for the Christmas tree + Warm Buff Ink to add the first layer for the tree trunk. Then, I used stencil #3 along with Mermaid Cove Ink to add the detailed layer to the Christmas tree + Espresso Ink to add the detailed layer for the tree trunk. Once, that I had the large layers ink up over the card panel, I went ahead to use stencil #4 along with Sparkling Rose Ink to ink up the ornaments + Ballet Slipper Ink and Peach Fuzz Ink to ink up the Christmas gifts.
This layered stencil set includes 6 pieces therefore, I used stencil #5 along with Sparkling Rose Ink and Coral Reef Ink to ink up the other two Christmas gifts + a combination of Marigold Ink and Clementine Ink to ink up the ornament caps and the star. Last but not least, I used stencil #6 along with once again Marigold Ink and Clementine Ink to ink up the Christmas tree lights and the Christmas gift ribbon.
So, once I had finished inking it up the card panel using each stencil, I went ahead to place the card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I continued to line up its coordinating stamp image included in Under the Christmas Tree Stamp to get the outlined image stamped with embossing ink and gold heat emboss it with gold embossing powder. Once, I had the stamping and heat embossing done, I went ahead to line up over the card panel its coordinating die included in Under the Christmas Tree Die and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the stamped images out of the card panel. Having that said, after I had finished the die-cutting for the stamped images, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the Slim Diagonal Stripes Die and then, I ran them through my die-cut machine as well to die-cut the front card panel out of it. Thus, as soon as I had I finished die-cutting all pieces, I went ahead to start the card assembling. So, to do that, I glued down the striped slimline card panel with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue over a slimline white card base. Next, I got mounted with square foam adhesives the Christmas tree along with the Christmas gifts in the lower side of the card just to add a bit of dimension to it.
Lastly, I went ahead to get the card sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments including in the stamp set and then, I got it mounted as well with a piece of craft foam in the upper side of the card. At this point, I decided to also add a bow to the card, so I went ahead to glue down a cute die-cutting bow which, I’ve had previously created out of gold cardstock using the dies including in Artistic Bows Die Set. Then, as soon as the bow was glued it down to the card, I went ahead to finish the card off by gluing down as well some of Metallic Pearls -Gold to add an extra touch of shine!
And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made a this “Holiday” slimline inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
