Happy Sunday, Friends! In today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspirational set of paper-crafted handmade cards with matching cupcake containers made with a “Birthday” look using the following and just released stamps and dies sets; Cupcake Container Die, Simply Swirls Birthday Stamp, Simply Swirls Birthday Dies, Rip Envelope, and Open Me Stamp by The Stamp Market. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started by creating the cupcake containers. So, to do that, I used the Cupcake Container Die along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get the die-cutting process done for them. This step is quite simple as all you need to do, is use the die twice to cut out two side pieces from solid colored cardstock or patterned paper and then use the die to cut once the bottom part.
The assembling step is easy to get done due to the die adding up the scoring lines for you to quickly fold them over and get the pieces glued down together. By the way, I used paper sheets from Pattern Paper Basic Stripes and Pattern Paper Basic Dots. Also, I used solid The Stamp Market Cardstock to create a little contrast between patterned and solid colors.
In the image above, you can see how fun and beautiful they look from a side view, even in a plain white look.
Also, here in the image above, you can take a closer look at how the inside of the cupcake containers look after getting them assembled.
Moving on, after getting the assembling step completed for the cupcake container, I used the Simply Swirls Birthday Stamp and Simply Swirls Birthday Dies to get the sentiments included in it stamped, heat embossing, and die-cutting out from white and colored cardstock to add a colorful layering effect.
For the stamping and heat embossing steps, I used the MISTI Mini Stamp Tool, Hammermill Cardstock, Magic Powder Bag, Embossing Ink, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, and Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool. Then once again solid colored cardstock, to create a harmonious and colorful layering effect on each sentiment, just like you can see in the image above.
Lastly, to finish the cupcake container look, I inserted a cupcake inside of it. Then, I got the celebrate sentiment glued down to a lollipop stick with hot glue to create a cupcake topper. After getting that step done, I went ahead to get the cupcake topper inserted into the center part of the cupcake. Lastly, to finish the first example, I also used the small dies included in the cupcake die set to cut out some flowers and greenery and use them as embellishments for the outside part of the cupcake.
Here on the right side in the image above is another look at how the cupcake containers look in a simply solid color and without any embellishments.
Also, here is a closer look at the second cupcake topper that, I created with the Happy Birthday sentiment.
Moving on, I couldn’t resist not making a matching card for my favorite cupcake project, so I went ahead to make a mini 3x4 card using the last sentiment that I had left from all the sentiments that I got from the stamp set.
So for the card base, as I said, I created a 4x3 white card base and a landscaping shape. Then, I added a smaller white card panel to create a layering effect, and then I got the layered card sentiment glued down to the front side of the card.
Then, I slightly got it embellished by adding up some of the leftover greenery pieces.
Last but not least, to complete the birthday set, I used the Rip Envelope to create the matching envelope for the card and finally, the Open Me Stamp to get the matching envelope embellished with a white heat embossing effect. By the way, I used Embossing Powder Ultra Fine Alabaster for the white heat embossing step.
And, with that being said, friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of paper-crafted handmade cards with matching cupcake containers with a “Birthday” look using stamps, dies, and more by The Stamp Market.
