Partial Cut Background With A Spiral Circle┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! In today’s blog post, I’d like to share a clean and simple inspirational card made with a “Partial Cut Background & Spiral” look using the Essentials: Folk Edge Rectangles Die Set and Essentials Folk Edge Circle Die Set. Along with those sets, I also used the just-released Spiral Circle Die to create a detailed spiral focal point. And, lastly, Foiled Sentiments 3 and Spiral Circle Die and Metallic Pearls- Matte Gold to add pops of metallic gold touch to the card. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I went ahead to place wide open an A2 size white card base with the front flap over the paper trimmer to get it trimmed down in two pieces.

Thus, from the middle fold in the card base, I left an 1-7/8 inch space to create the first cut. Next, I set the large part of the card base aside, and then I got trimmed down the leftover cardstock piece to 1-7/8 inches, too.

Moving on, after getting the two pieces of the front flap of the card base trimmed down, I used the largest die included in Essentials: Folk Edge Rectangles Die Set along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut out and to add the detailed edge to an A2 size white card panel. Followed by that, I proceeded to repeat the same cuts over the die-cutting card panel.

That said, as soon as I had the die-cutting steps completed for the die-cutting card panel, I set them aside. Meanwhile, I used the Spiral Circle Die to cut out the solid base from white cardstock and the detailed layer also from white cardstock. Next, I used the die once again to cut out the detailed layer from the gold cardstock as well. Once, I got the die-cutting process for those, I got the detailed layers layered together to create a gold shadow under the white layer, and then I got them glued down to the spiral base.

Nevertheless, I used the small die included in Essentials Folk Edge Circle Die Set to die-cut a circle and add the same folk edge to it. Next, after getting the die-cutting process for it, I added more dimension by adding extra layers underneath. Then, I got the backing of the circle glued down to the center part of the spiral circle. Thereafter, I used a piece of acetate and added double-sided adhesive to the top and bottom parts of it, and right after that, I proceeded to get the backing of the adhesive peeled off to get the top part of the acetate adhered to the smaller flap on the card base. Lastly, I lined up the bottom part edge-to-edge with the bottom flap of the card base, and I repeated the same steps to get the acetate adhered to the bottom part as well. Finally, to finish the whole assembly for the partially cut card’s front flap, I got the backing of the other two small pieces adhered with double-sided adhesive over the acetate. Last but certainly not least, I added liquid glue to the top part and the bottom part of the spiral circle, and then I got it glued down to the upper and lower parts of the partially cut card’s front flap, just in a way that you can see in the image above.

As finishing touches, I used Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and the Jewels Picker to glue down around the center part of the spiral circle some of the Metallic Pearls- Matte Gold, and to finish it off, I also used one of the pre-made hot foil sentiments from the Foiled Sentiments 3. By the way, you can take 25% off on each sentiment ephemera pack. by using the code EPH25. Therefore, here’s the link in case you want to check them out → Weekly Promo.
