Layered Snowflakes┃Holiday Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a simple “Snowflake/Holiday Vibe” card made using Layered Snowflakes Die Set and Holiday Vibes Die by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made it ↓

To begin with, I started by placing over my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface a large piece of Strathmore Watercolor Paper. Then, I’ve gone ahead to temporarily tape it down using painters tape and once it was into place, I’ve gone ahead to messy water-coloring the whole piece of watercolor paper using a mix of Blue, Pink, Purple and Grey hues which I’ve had previously mix on my mixing palette to create a wintry vibe background.

So therefore, after I’ve had finished the water-coloring over the watercolor paper, I’ve had set it aside to let it air dry. Meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead to temporarily tape down another watercolor card panel so, once I’ve had it onto place, I’ve gone ahead to watercolor it in in a gradient way using the leftover mixing hues that I had on my mixing palette.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished the water-coloring over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to set it aside while I started the die-cutting process. Thus, for the die-cutting word, I’ve gone ahead to line up over a large piece of translucent vellum the shadow layer from the Holiday Vibes Die and right after that, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, after I’ve had that done, I’ve gone ahead to line up over white glitter cardstock the top layer of the word and I ran them through the die-cut machine as well. Then, I’ve gone ahead to repeat this step 2 more times but to die-cut the top layer from the die out of white cardstock.

So, after I’ve had finish die-cutting the word, I’ve gone ahead to stack the top layering and then, I’ve gone ahead to glue with liquid glue the dimensional top layer to its shadow layer. Next, I’ve gone ahead to add texture to the card panel by using a falling snow stencil and texture white paste so therefore, after I’ve added the texture, I’ve gone ahead to trim the edges of the water-colored card panel off and I’ve gone ahead to adhered it down with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base. With that said, after I’ve had done the creating the card base, I’ve gone ahead to line up over the water-colored piece a few (top layer) snowflake dies from the Layered Snowflakes Die Set, and once I’ve had them lined up I ran them through the die-cut machine.

Lastly, after I’ve done die-cutting the top layers for the snowflakes, I’ve gone ahead to line up their coordinated shadow layers over translucent vellum and I ran them through the die-cut machine as well. And, last but certainly not least, I’ve gone ahead to stack the top layers to their coordinated shadow layer and once I’ve had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue the snowflakes over the card (as shown in the image above). Finally, to finish the card off, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue the die-cut and dimensional word and then, as a finishing touch, I’ve gone ahead to glue down jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a sparkly touch. With that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “Snowflake/Holiday Vibe” card using stamp and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
