Alex Designs Abstract Flower & Spring Frame┃Inspiration Cards
Happy Sunday, Friends! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, today I’d like to share with you these 2 “Encouraging-Sympathy” cards that I’ve created showcasing Spring Frame & Abstract Flowers Digital Stamps by Alex Syberia Designs. So, without further ado, let’s jump to the step by step on how I made them ↓
As per usual when I make cards with digital stamps, I started by downloading, saving and printing the digital image on a regular copy paper sheet. Then, I transferred the printed image over a Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor card panel. Therefore, to transfer the image, I used a Graphite Paper sheet to traced the printed image over the watercolor card panel.
NOTE: If need more details about how to trace printed images using Graphite Paper → CLICK HERE (this link will take to a previous blog post on which I shared how to do it)
Once, I’ve had the image traced down over the watercolor card panel, I water-colored the Abstract Flowers in with Peachy Pink and Green hues.
So, after my water-coloring was dry, I trimmed the edges down from the card panel and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding Kraft card base.
Moving on, after the first card was done, I set it aside and I water-colored the second card panel on which I’ve traced the Spring Frame image.
Although, I kept the colors I added a pop of color by adding Mint, Yellow and Warm Gray hues. This image as its name says it has a frame so, I after the water-coloring was completely dry, I used a Black Micron Fine Line and a ruler to make the lines to stand out.
Then, I trimmed the edges down right by the edge of the frame and I mounted the card panel with craft foam and double-sided tape to a side folding Kraft card base.
Lastly, for the sentiments, I stampeded over a piece of watercolor cardstock one of the sentiments from the Moments of Grace Stamp Set with Detail Black Ink which right afterwards, I trimmed it down and I mounted it with craft foam and double-sided tape to the portrait card to add dimension. As, for the landscaping design I stampeded another sentiment from the same stamp with black ink right in the center of the card panel. Finally, as finishing touches I covered the flowers and leaves with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen. Then, I added Glossy Accent to the center of the cards as well as their anthers, and last but certainly not least, I glued down with liquid glue here and there Yellow jewels for an extra Sparkly and Glossy look.
