You Are My Favorite┃Slimline Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a slightly “Monochromatic” with a pop of color slimline card made using You Are My Favorite Stamp Set, You Are My Favorite Coordinating Die Set and You Are My Favorite Coordinating Stencil Set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I’ve made it ↓

To begin with, I started by placing inside my Memory MISTI a large piece of white cardstock. Next, I went ahead to line up over the white cardstock piece the larger floral image from You Are My Favorite Stamp Set. Thus, after I’ve had them lined up, I went ahead to stamp the floral image twice with Metropolis Ink.

Therefore, after I’ve had finished stamping the floral image I’ve removed the stamped image from the stamping tool and I’ve quickly gone ahead to line up the first stencil from You Are My Favorite Coordinating Stencil Set which help you to ink the solid image from the flowers. That said, after I’ve had lined up the stencil, I’ve gone ahead to get the inking done using Misty Coast Ink.

Moving on, after I’ve had the inking layer done, I’ve gone ahead to remove the stencil and I’ve quickly lined up the second which, is the one the adds the detailed inked layer for the flowers. Therefore, for the detailed inked layer, I’ve used Rocky Slope Ink. Lastly, to finish the inking for the floral image, I’ve gone ahead to remove the second stencil and I’ve lined up the third stencil which is the one the inks up the leaves so, to ink up the leaves I’ve used Metropolis Ink.

NOTE: This stamp sets are meant to be whimsical so, in other words they don’t line up perfectly which personally I love for an unfinished and whimsical look. However, if you want to be slightly precise you can manipulate the stenciling by die-cutting first and then, stamping and inking it up last.

So, right after I’ve had finished inking it up the floral image, I’ve gone ahead to line up the coordinated die using You Are My Favorite Coordinating Die Set thus, after I’ve had them line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Once, I’ve had finished die-cutting the floral image, I’ve gone ahead to make a second die-cutting piece but, this time I’ve die-cut the floral image out of foam fun.

Lastly, after I’ve had finished die-cutting both floral pieces, I’ve gone ahead to glue them down and once I’ve had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to set them aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to make the background panel so to do that, I’ve lined up over a large piece of white cardstock the Gradiating Stripes Stencil and once I’ve had them line up, I’ve softly gotten the card panel inked up with Ballet Slipper Ink. Right afterwards, I’ve removed the stencil and I’ve gone ahead to trim off the edges from the card panel to W 3-3/8’’ X H *-1/4’’ inches and once I’ve had that step done, I’ve quickly gotten it adhered to a slimline white card base.

Finally, after I’ve had finished adhering the background to the card base, I’ve gone ahead to mount the die-cutting floral piece and to finish the card off, I’ve added a piece of metallic thread and I’ve mounted the large sentiment (as shown in the image above) which, I’ve had previously stamp and heat emboss on a piece of translucent vellum using one of the sentiments from the stamp set and WOW! Metallic Platinum. Then, as a finishing touch, I’ve gone ahead to glue down jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a sparkly touch. So, with that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step-by-step on how I’ve made this slightly “Monochromatic” with a pop of color slimline card using stamp and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
