(Please do not enter more than 3 entries per person) So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by placing a Strathmore Smooth Bristol Panel on my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface. Next, I did a very soft ink blending over the card panel using a blending brush and the following inks; Sea Glass, Tropic Teal and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide. Once, I had the card panel inked up, I set it aside to let it dry and I placed over the surface a white card panel to get it ink up with WOW! Embossing. So, after I was done adding embossing ink to the white card panel, I covered the sticky surface with WOW! Rose Gold and soon after the card panel was covered with the powder, I heated set the powder with my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted. And, once I had it heat embossed I set it aside to let it cool down meanwhile, I lined up the Color Block Diagonal Stripes Die over the inked card panel and I ran them through the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine so, as soon as I was done die-cutting the inked card panel I lined up over the heat embossed card panel the die and I also ran them through the die-cutting machine.
Moving on, after I had the die-cutting done for both panels, I set them aside and went ahead to continue with the die-cutting process for the flowers. So, for the flowers I lined up over Translucent Vellum the round flowers dies from the Florally Fun Die and the dies with pointed tips over white cardstock therefore, after the dies were line it up I ran them through the die-cutting machine a few times, as I wanted to create a few flowers. The die set also includes a large and a small sprig, so I went ahead, and I’ve got them die-cut as well out of white cardstock. That said, after all die-cutting pieces were finish I used the stylus tip from my Tool ‘n One and I curled some of the petals down and other up to add dimension. Lastly, after I was done curling the petals, I set glued down with liquid the top layers to the bottoms and I set them aside while I created the card panel. For the first card panel, I mounted each of the strip from the color block die-cutting with foam mounting tape over a white card panel but leaving a very tiny space in between the strips. Then, I trimmed the edges off from it and I adhered the backing of it to with liquid glue to an A2 top folding white card base. Finally, to finish the card off, I glued down with liquid glue the flowers over the card panel creating a cluster (as shown in the image above) and last but not least I mounted the sentiment which I had previously stamped and heat embossed, then as a last touch I glued here and there clear droplets and sequins for an extra touch of shine.
As for the second example, same as the previous example, I used the leftover strips from the diagonal color block die-cutting however, this time instead of mounting each of them with foam mounting tape, I changed thing a bit by gluing down with liquid glue the heat embossed strips and by mounting the inked strips with foam mounting tape it might not show any difference through pictures but it really does show the dimension in real life.
So, as you can see after I had each of the strips adhered and mounted over the card panel, I went ahead to trimmed the edges off and I to get the backing of it adhered to an A2 top folding white card base.
Also, as you can see in the image above, instead of creating a cluster I glued with liquid glue only one flower which in this case is the larger flowers from the set. That said, to finish the card off I glued down here and there some crystal clear sequins with liquid glue to give it a touch of shine, and last but certainly not least, I mounted a sentiment which I also had previously stamped and heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock.
By the way the sentiments that I’ve used for both examples are from the Painted Encouragement Stamp Set.
