Happy Tuesday, Friends! It’s the first week for the JUN-2020 “Repeat Patterns” challenge theme over at the WOW! Embossing Powders Facebook Page. With that said, I’d like to invite you to come and play along with us for a chance to win a $15.00 or ₤15.00 gift card to WOW! US or WOW! UK online stores. Here’s the information needed in case, you’re interested in participating and share your projects/cards or any project of your choice.
In order to participate all you need to do is ➝ follow the WOW! Embossing Powder Monthly Challenge theme as an inspiration to create one of the followings for your submissions:

Or any type of paper crafting project/mixed media of your preference that features any WOW! Embossing Powder product of your choice. Submissions must be entering by June 30th at 9PM PST. (Please do not enter more than 3 entries per person) So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by temporally adhering one of the 3 stencils from the Birthday Candle Stencil Set over an A2 white card panel. Then, I went ahead and I carefully pressed through the stencil around the entire perimeter of the card panel to create the body-wax part of the birthday candles using WOW! Embossing Pad. Once, I was done creating the sticky surface I carefully removed the stencil and I went ahead to add WOW! Pink Sherbert therefore, after I added the powder, I heated set it with the WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool.
So, as soon as the powder was set and melted, I lined up the second stencil from set over the card panel and I inked up the flames with the embossing pad just like I did for the candles. Thus for the flames I covered the sticky surface created with the stencil with WOW! Sorbet, and I heated set it in the same way as I did for the candles.
Moving on, after I was done creating the birthday cake candle pattern over the card panel, I trimmed down the edges of it a bit smaller than the card base and I set it aside. Meanwhile, I ran through the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the shadow dotted die from the Party Honey Cuts to die-cut it out from white cardstock. Then, I ran through the die-cutting machine the middle layer from the die set to die-cut it out 3X from white cardstock as well.
Lastly, I ran though the die-cutting machine the medium die from the Balloon Card Borders to die-cut it out from Translucent Vellum. And finally to finish the die-cutting process, I ran through the die-cutting machine the tied bow die included in the Balloon Card Borders to die-cut a tied bow out of Gold cardstock. So, after I was done die-cutting the pieces, I started the assembling for the card therefore to do that first, I placed the translucent balloon a bit offset to the right on the top side of the card panel. Second, I folded in the edges of it to the back on the card panel and I adhered them down with strong double-sided tape.
Once the balloon was into place, I adhered down the backing of the card panel with extra strong double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base. Then, I glued down the tied gold bow to the end of the balloon and I glued down the shadow dotted layer of the Party die-cutting word in the lower side of the card. As for the top layer, I decided to gold heat emboss the party word over one of the white die-cutting pieces so, to do that I used WOW! Metallic Gold Rich and the Party Stamp Set which happens to be the coordinated stamp for the party die set. So therefore, after I was done heat embossing the word over one of the die-cutting shapes, I stacked them all and I glued them down with liquid glue to the shadow layer. Finally, to finish the card off I mounted with square adhesives the Let’s word which I had also heat emboss it on a piece of white cardstock using the same stamp set to compliment the sentiment. Last but certainly not least, I glued down here and there with liquid glue a few Crystal Confetti for an extra shiny dimensional look.
