WOW! August Masculine Challenge┃ Hello Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, Friends! It’s week 3 for AUG-2020 “Masculine” challenge theme over at the WOW! Embossing Powders Facebook Page. So therefore, this week I’ve created this “Hello/Birthday” masculine card made using WOW! Sunset Boulevard, WOW! Oasis, WOW! Long Island Teal, WOW! Clear Sparkle and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich powders. With that being said, I’d like to invite you to come and play along with us for a chance to win a $15.00 or ₤15.00 gift card to WOW! US or WOW! UK online stores. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by lining up the Wonderful Wreath Stencil over a 6X6 Strathmore Bristol Smooth Panel so therefore, once both were line up I started the ink blending using Storm Ink as my darkest shade.

Then, after I’ve had the first inking done, I removed the stencil and I placed it back over the card panel but, slightly offset as the previous placement to add a second layer so, after the stencil was onto place, I repeated the inking once again but this time using Ocean Breeze Ink as my medium shade.

Moving along, after I had finished the ink blending using 2 color inks, I let it dry a bit and once the panel was completely dry, I added lot of Embossing Powder Tool and then, I placed back over the card panel the stencil once again a bit offset to continue the layering inking.

Therefore, for the third layer I used WOW! Embossing Pad so, once I’ve had the inking done, I removed the stencil and I covered the sticky layering with WOW! Clear Sparkle. And thus, after the surface was completely covered, I heated set the powder with my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool.

Lastly, after I’ve had the heat embossing done over the wreath I trimmed the edges off from the panel a bit smaller than an A2 standard size card base, and I adhered the backing of it with foam mounting tape to a top folding white card base. Then, I mounted a dimensional Hello die-cutting word which I had previously created using Sentiment Suite: Hello Die Set, White cardstock, Embossing Ink and the following embossing powders, WOW! Sunset Boulevard, WOW! Oasis and WOW! Long Island Teal.
By the way, to create the effect over the hello word;
1- I stacked 4 die-cutting hello words.
2- I inked the die-cutting word using embossing ink.
3- I sprinkled in different sections the powders mentioned above.
4- I heated set the powders and I repeated the same step as many times needed until I had fully covered the die-cutting word.

So, after I had the die-cutting hello word heat embossed, I glued it down with liquid glue to the card and to complement the die-cutting word I placed the card inside the MISTI Stamping Tool and I went ahead to get a sentiment gold heat embossed underneath it using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich and Simply Sentiments - Hello Stamp Set. Finally, to add a touch of Sparkle and a Pop of color I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue a few orange jewels and I also used once again the stencil to add berries around the wreath and for that I used Peach Fuzz ink.
