Happy Monday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you this “Encouragement-Floral” card made with Blushing Floral Cling Stamp and Color Block- Gradiating Stripes by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made it ↓
To begin with, I started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a Strathmore Watercolor Panel. Then, right after that I lined up the Blushing Floral Cling Stamp over the watercolor card panel and once both were line up, I went ahead to stamp twice the image over the card panel with Detail Black Ink.
Therefore, after I had the stamping done, I removed the card panel from the stamping tool and I transferred to my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface. Once the card panel was onto place, I secured it with the magnets from the magnetic surface and then, I’ve proceeded to get the water-coloring- done.
For the water-coloring, I mixed a palette of cool hues using my Pinkfresh Watercolor Collection along with Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache, White Nights Watercolor Palette and W&N Neutral Tint.
So, after I had the water-coloring done for the flowers and leaves, I set it aside to let the painting dry. Meanwhile, I lined up the Color Block- Gradiating Stripes Die over an off-white card panel and once both were line up, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.
Moving on, after I had the die-cutting panel done, I placed the frame over an A2 top folding white card base but, without any adhesive as, I only wanted to used it as a guide to adhere each die-cutting strip. That said, after I had the frame onto place, I mounted each of the stripes with craft foam mounting tape following the guide, and once I had them all adhered, I removed the frame creating that way a frame-less background with dimensional stripes. Thus, after I had the background completed, I came back to the water-coloring panel, and using a pair of small scissors I carefully fussy-cut the floral out of the watercolor card panel. And, last but not least after I was done fussy-cutting the floral piece, I mounted the backing of it with craft foam tape over the card to add dimension.
Finally, to finish the card off I mounted in the center of the card a sentiment which I had previously die-cut, stamp and heat emboss over a piece of off-white cardstock using, You Can Change the World Stamp Set, WOW! Embossing Pad, WOW! Metallic Gold Rich and WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool. By the way, for the die-cut I used one of the small dies from the Stitched Square Die Set. Thus, as a finishing touch, I glued down with liquid glue here and there a few jewels from the Essentials: Jewels Mix to add a touch of sparkle! With that said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “Encouragement-Floral” card using stamp and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
