To begin with, I started by prepping two A2 size Hero Arts Lavender card panels with the Embossing Powder Tool. Then, I stamped each of the card panels using Leaves Background Stamp and, Embossing Ink. Right after the stamping, I covered the stamping with WOW! Violet Pearl Embossing Powder and, I heat set with the help of the Heat Embossing Gun Tool. Once, the heat embossing part was done, I trimmed the edges of the card panels slightly smaller than the card bases and I set them aside. In the meantime, I white heat embossed two sentiments from the Greeting Mix 1 Stamp set on a piece of the same color card stock with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. Lastly, after the white heat embossing was done, I trimmed the sentiments down and I set them aside too.
For the die-cutting part, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Clustered Leaves Outline Die 2X to die-cut it out of the Lavender color card stock. Also, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Clustered Leaves Die because, I wanted to create a shadow layer for the die-cutting cluster leaves. Lastly, after four die-cuttings were done, I stacked the first two die-cutting to create the first card. As you can see, I adhered the backing of them to the card panel with liquid glue. To finish the card panel off, I added a piece of Metallic Embroidery Thread to the card right before, I adhered the backing of the sentiment that I had previously white heat embossed to the card panel with foam mounting tape adding that way a little bit of dimension.
For the second card, I took a step further by heat embossing the top layer of the clustered leaves with WOW! Violet Pearl Embossing Powder because, I wanted to share with you the effect of the shine from the embossing powder. Although this powder shows a better result in dark color card stock, I decided to show you just the difference between with a without it. So, as soon as the heat embossing part was done on the clustered leaves, I layered the other vellum die-cutting and I adhered the backing of it to the second card panel. Same as the previous example, I added a piece of the Metallic Embroidery Thread and the other sentiment that I had previously white heat embossed.
Finally, to finish both card off, I adhered each of the card panels to two top folding white card bases that I had previously cut, scored and folded. As a finishing touch, I adhered some Pink Moonstone Sequins here and there for a sparkly look. With that being said friends, that’s all I have for today. I hope these cards inspire you to give these designs, and the challenge a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts.
