Tulip Love Hand-Stitched┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an extra delicate “Encouragement” inspiration card made with a hand-stitched look using: Tulip Love Cover Plate Die by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this cover plate, I’ve used Artistic Blossoms Die to add the die-cutting floral look. Also, Fancy Script Words Hot Foil and Fancy Script Words Die + Simply Sentiments - You Stamp Set to add a combination of hot foil stamping and heat embossing to the card sentiment. Lastly, Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set to add the scalloped edge and Jewels: Glacier to add a pop of sparkle. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by getting the die-cutting and dotted impression done over an A2 size white card panel. So, to do that, I went ahead to line up the Tulip Love Cover Plate Die over the card panel and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I’d like to mention that this cover plate was not designed for hand-stitching however, if you love the addition of hand-stitching to the cards this is one of those dies that you can use for that purpose as, if you are used to add hand-stitches to your cards it can be easy to use just by following the dotted details created by the die.

Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished the die-cutting, I went ahead to use an embroidery needle along with a light Green hue and a light Pink hue embroidery floss. To make it easy, I split the floss in 3 threads before getting it threaded in the needle. Once, I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to get the hand-stitching started by going one-by-one of the dotted details and using the light pink hue for the Tulips and the light green hue for the stem and leaves.
NOTE: If happens that you would like to give this a try, make sure to use 110lb cardstock or if you use less than that weight just double up to add a little more sturdiness. Also, use a pointy and small embroidery needle to make the dotted detail larger but not too, large.

Having that said, as soon as, I’ve had finished adding the hand-stitching detail to the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to put it off to the side to get the extra die-cutting pieces cut out of white cardstock. Thus, I went ahead to line up the largest die included in Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles Die Set over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cut machine. Next, I went ahead to line up over another piece of white cardstock two of the dies included in Artistic Blossoms Die and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cut machine. Then, to add a gold shadow to the white die-cutting floral silhouettes, I went ahead to cut them out one more time but this time from Gold Foil Cardstock.

Moving on, after getting the die-cutting finished, I went ahead to trim off a smaller panel using the same Gold Foil Cardstock using my Paper Trimmer and then, I went ahead to get the backing of the hand-stitched card panel glued down over it to make the gold pop throughout the die-cutting hearts on the card panel. Next, I went ahead to get the scalloped frame mounted over the card panel using square foam adhesives to add dimension to it. Then, I went ahead to get the backing of the layered card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base and then, I proceeded to layered the die-cutting flowers over the right side of the card. Lastly, I went ahead to create a layered hot foil stamped and die-cutting sentiment in the same way as I did for the flowers and then, I’ve got it mounted in the lower side of the card just as shown in the image above.

As, a finishing touch, I went ahead to compliment the dimensional hello sentiment by adding a smaller sub-sentiment underneath it. As, I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I’ve used Fancy Script Words Hot Foil and Fancy Script Words Die for the large sentiment + one of the sentiments included in Simply Sentiments - You Stamp Set for the smaller sentiment. Other than that, I used VersaMark Ink Pad, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool for the heat embossing process + Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass, Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the hot foil stamping process. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker and Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of Jewels: Glacier to add an extra pop of sparkle to it. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this extra delicate “Encouragement” inspiration card with a hand-stitched look using, products by Pinkfresh Studio.
