Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’m excited to share with you this delicate & elegant set of ornaments/gift tags + a matching inspiration card with a “Holiday” vibe made using the latest The Stamp Market holiday stamp and die release. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
To begin with, I started off by making this this extra dimensional ornament/gift tag, so to do that, I went ahead to line up the ornament die including in Ornament Die set over a large piece of white cardstock, and then I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I lined up the detailed greenery circle die including as well in the same set over a piece of white cardstock, and then I went ahead to run them through my die cut machine. Once, I that had those steps completed, I layered them together and then, I glued down the ornament cap which I’ve got die cut it out of Diamond Glitter Cardstock.
Thus, as soon as I’ve finished the layering for the ornament, I went ahead to get it embellished by creating a cluster with stamped holly leaves, branches, and flowers along with the die-cutting holly leaves and die-cutting branches. Flowers and leaves which I created by getting stamped using the small stamp images including in Adornment Stamp Set and their coordinating dies including in Adornment Dies. As, for the die-cutting leaves and branches, I used Adoring Blooms Dies. By the way, the color palette used in today’s projects is Leafy, Greenery and Forest hues for the leaves and + Peach, Papaya and Curry for the flowers. Having that said, after getting mounted the holiday floral cluster over the left side of the ornament, I went ahead to mount a sentiment as well, a sentiment which I’ve had previously stamp, heat emboss and die cut out of a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments and one of the dies including in Sending Cheer Stamp Set and Sending Cheer Dies. Finally, as a finishing touch, I added a piece of DMC in metallic light silver and then I glued down here and there some Crystal Confetti to add an extra touch of shine to my first ornament/gift tag.
To create the second ornament/gift tag, I went ahead to get stamped over a piece of white cardstock the layering stamp images including in Adornment Stamp Set. using the same hues, I used in the previous example. By the way, to make the stamping process a little easier, I used my stamping tool. Having that said, right after that I had finished the stamping for the greenery, I went ahead to use the ornament die to die cut the stamped image out of the cardstock.
Thus, to get this ornament/gift tag embellished I went ahead to create a dimensional die-cutting bow using the dies including in Just Add Ribbon Die along with pieces of white and diamond glitter cardstock. So, after getting the assembling for the bow completed, I went ahead to get it glue down to the top side of the ornament/gift tag. Next, I’ve got glued down as well the glittery ornament cap, and then to finish it off, I’ve got mounted the layered Joy die-cutting word (as shown in the image above) which I’ve had previously created using white, papaya and diamond glitter cardstock along with the dies including in Joy Layering Die set. As for embellishments, I decided not to add any to it since I had a very busy greenery stamped background.
For my last example, I made a matching card so to do that, I went ahead to create a white-on-white textured card base. Therefore, I lined up the So Many Snowflakes Cover Die over a large piece of white cardstock and then I ran them through my die cut machine. I repeated this step 2X because, this is a gate fold/double opening type of card. Thus, right after that I’ve got finished die-cutting both panels, I went ahead to get them glue down over 2 top folding A2 size white card bases.
Once, I’ve got the card backgrounds adhered to the card bases, I went ahead to place them down in a landscaping form. Next, I’ve got trim off 1/8” of an inch from one of them using my paper trimmer. Thus, after I’ve got it trim down, I went ahead to get the backing adhered with double-sided adhesive to the other card base. Then, soon after that I’ve got that done, I went ahead to decide which flap I was going to trim off as I wanted one smaller than the other, so I decided to trim off the right flap leaving it at 2-3/4” inches to be exact.
Lastly, I went ahead to get mounted a dimensional ornament/gift tag that I created using the ornament die and its snowflake insert for a cohesive snowflake look along with a holiday floral cluster, that I also created using the same hue palette and the dies including in Adoring Blooms Dies. So, after I’ve got mounted the ornament in the center of the upper flap of the card, I went ahead to embellished by tuck in a piece of DMC in metallic silver along with some crystal sequins which I’ve got glued down here and there to add an extra touch of shine to it. By the way, I created the Joy word using the stamp image and the coordinating die including in Adornment Stamp Set and Adornment Dies sets.
With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate & elegant set of ornaments/gift tags + a matching inspiration card with a “Holiday” vibe using some of the latest stamps and die sets by The Stamp Market.
