Thankful Card

Thankful Card

Hello there! On today's Blog I would like to share with you this beautiful Autumn Thankful Greeting Card. Featuring the new Thankful Leaves Stamp and Die set by Concord & 9th. This was so much fun to create. The effect from the Thankful Leaves turnabout stamp is super cool once you are done stamping all 4 turns. So let's get started!

Stamping and Heat Embossing

First, I started by marking the line in the back of the Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp by following the instructions in the back of the stamp packaging. Also, I marked a piece of white cardstock that measured 6"X 6" connecting the lines from corner to corner creating an X for the stamping guide. For the card panel I used a piece of 100# Neenah Desert Storm cardstock that measured H 4.25'' X W5.5'' and I temporarily adhered it right in the center of the marked white cardstock guide. Then, I started the stamping. For this type of turnabout stamps I would recommend you to use any type of precision stamping tool. ( I used the Misti Precision Stamper Tool) for a better result!

Second, I heat embossed the card panel and the sentiment. For the heat embossing I used the VersaMark watermark/resistant ink stamp pad and the Copper super fine detail embossing powder by Rangers.

Die Cutting

Third, I used a die cutting machine to die cut the embossed card panel. For the card panel I used the largest stitched rectangle die by MFTS. And, the leaf from the Thankful Leaves die (I used Dark Chocolate color cardstock by Gina K Desings.) to cut the outer and the detailed die at the same time giving the leaf an embossing impression as you can see in the picture down below.

layout

Laying the card out is my favorite part. So, to begin with I started gluing the backed of the card panel to an A2 size 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base. Then, I adhered the backed of the leaf with foam tape just for dimension. Also, I adhered the back of the sentiment with foam tape. But, before I adhered the sentiment! I added a piece of Rose Gold thread that I had in mi stash!
