Encouragement Card

Encouragement Card

Hello There and Welcome! Today, I would like to share with You an elegant glittery heat embossed background that I've created for this Big Happy Greeting Card. I've been loving how Simple and Elegant is to create cards with just a few steps like using beautiful background waffer dies. And, this Folk Dance Waffer Die was not an exception! So Let's Get Started.

DIE CUTTING

First, I started the die cutting using a die cutting machine to cut the frame for the card panel. For the frame cut I used a piece of #110 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White along with the Dance Folk Waffer Die by Simon Says Stamp that measured W 4.25 X H 5.5. Once, I had it ready I set that aside. In the meantime, I die cut the Big Happy Waffer Die out of 2 different colors. I love how the Big Happy word has the outline cut, so you can create a shadow with different color cardstock or any specialty paper. For this card I cut the outline out of heavy vellum and the actual Happy word out of Metallic Gold cardstock.

HEAT Embossing and stamping

Second, after the die cutting. I heat embossed the card panel frame using an embossing pad and glitter embossing powder. For this card I used the Clear Ultra Slow Drying Pad and Long Island Teal glitter embossing powder both of them by WOW. I loved how elegant the frame looked in white! so perfect for a clean and simple look. But, today I decided to stepped up by adding a little bit of shine with these teal and gold tones from the glitter embossing powder.

For the sentiment, because the focal point was the Big Happy I knew I needed another sentiment to coordinate with. The first choice was Happy Birthday I know right! super classic. But, I went for something different so I grabbed the Yes You Can stamp set by CZ Designs/Simon Says Stamp. And, I gold heat embossed one of the sentiments to finish it up the Happy focal point.

LAYOUT

Third, for the card layout I adhered the backed of the the frame with liquid glue to a white card base. Next, I adhered the backed of the happy in gold to the vellum outline and I adhered them both a little bit above from the middle of the card. Then, I adhered the backed of the smaller sentiment with foam tape for a little bit of dimension. It was so much fun to see how both sentiments complimented each other. To finish it up I added a few of the Lucy's Bridal Mix Jewels to the center of each flower for a complimentary look!
