Sweet Blooms Cling Stamp┃Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a simple “HI” card made using Sweet Blooms Cling Stamp and the fabulous Lea's Ornate Uppercase Die Set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made it ↓

To begin with, I started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a Strathmore Watercolor Panel. Then right after that, I lined up the Sweet Blooms Cling Stamp over the watercolor card panel and once both were line up, I went ahead to stamp twice the image over the card panel with Detail Black Ink in the same exact way as I did for the previous card made using the coordinated stencil.

So therefore, after I had the image stamped over the card panel, I removed it from the stamping tool, I transferred it to my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface and once the card panel was onto place, I secured it with the magnets from the magnetic surface and then, I’ve proceeded to get the water-coloring done.

Moving on, to watercolor the stamped image and the card panel background, I used a mix of Blue, Turquoise Blue, Teal, Green, Pink and Peach hues which I had previously mixed on my watercolor palette using Pinkfresh Watercolor Collection and White Nights Watercolor palette along with Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache and W&N Neutral Tint.

So, after I’ve had finish water-coloring the card panel I set it aside to let the painting dry, and then I went ahead to get the die-cutting pieces done thus, for the die-cutting, I lined up over a large piece of white cardstock the H and I letters from the Lea's Ornate Uppercase Die Set, and once both were lined up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, after I had the first 2 white die-cutting letters, I went ahead to get 6 more white die-cutting letters of each letter along with 1 die-cutting of each out of gold cardstock. So, once I had the die-cutting letters done, I stacked the whites but, left the gold out as I was going to finish the stacking with them afterwards.

So, after I had the die-cutting letters I set them aside so, I could add the stitching detail to the background panel thus, to do that I lined up the largest die from the Essentials: Stitched Rectangles Die Set and at the same time I also, lined up the same letters in the middle of the card panel and once I had them lined up I went ahead to run them through the die-cut machine. Lastly, after I had die-cut the card panel and the letters out, I poked the positive letters out and I went ahead to adhere down the card panel with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base then, I glued down the dimensional white letters, and last but not least I glued down with liquid glue back into place the letters from the card panel for a ghost die-cutting look. So, after I had that done, I carefully glued down the outlined die-cutting from the gold letters and to finish the card off, I mounted a sentiment which, I had previously stamp with Detail Black ink on a piece of watercolor paper using, one of the sentiments from the You Can Change the World Stamp Set. And, as a finishing touch I embellished the card by gluing down here and there with liquid glue a few blue jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a sparkly touch. With that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this simple “HI” card using stamp and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
