SSS Holly Jolly Release┃Inspiration Card

Hello, Friends! It’s Simon Says Stamp - Holly Jolly release day YAY!!! Therefore, on today’s blog I’ll be sharing with you an “Encouraging” card made using this fabulous and just released; Scattered Stars Stencil. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I’ve started by placing over my glass mat a white card panel. Next, I’ve gone ahead to start the ink blending over the card panel so to do that I’ve used ink blending brushes along with the following order of Distress Oxide Inks:
- Seedless Preserves
- Picked Raspberry
- Festive Berries
- Carved Pumpkin
- Wild Honey
- Mustard Seed

+ Faded Jeans and Black Soot to add depth on the top edge.

Therefore, after I've had finished the ink blending over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to set it aside to let the ink blending air dry.

Meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead to place inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a piece of Black Cardstock and once I’ve had it onto place, I’ve gone ahead to line up over it one of the larger and one of the smaller sentiments from Yes You Can Stamp Set. Thus, after I’ve had placed the sentiment over it, I’ve gone ahead to get them stamp with WOW! Embossing Ink and once I’ve had them stamped, I’ve gone ahead to white heat emboss them with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished the heat embossing on both sentiments I’ve gone ahead to line up over them 2 of the sentiment wafer dies from Sentiment Labels Wafer Die Set and once I’ve had them line up I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Lastly, after I’ve had finished die-cutting the sentiments I’ve gone ahead to set them aside and, in the meanwhile, I’ve came back to the ink blending card panel to ink blend the mountains silhouette and to heat emboss the stars over it.

Therefore for the mountains, I’ve used one of the stencils from HB Winter Wonder Background Stencil Set and Versafine Onyx Black. And, for the starry sky, I’ve lined up over the ink blended card panel the just released Scattered Stars Stencil. and once I’ve had it onto place, I’ve gone ahead to use one of the Finger Sponge Daubers to carefully ink up with embossing ink each section from the sky. Finally, after I’ve had finished inking the stars, I’ve gone ahead to white heat emboss them and once I’ve had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to trim the edges off from the card panel and I’ve gone ahead to get it mounted over an A2 white card base with craft foam tape to add a bit of dimension. Then, to finish the card off, I’ve gone ahead to mount both sentiments (as shown in the image above) and once I’ve had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue some Crystal Confetti adding that way a touch of shine. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step on how I’ve made this “Encouraging” card. As always, I appreciate the time that takes you to read my blog posts.
