SSS Crafty Hugs Release┃You Are Loved Inspiration Cards
Happy Thursday, Friends! It’s Simon Says Stamp -’Crafty Hugs Release day YAY!!! So, today I’ll be sharing with you these 2 “Lovely” cards that, I’ve created with the new; Radiant Hearts Stencil. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
To begin with, I started by placing in a 45 degree angle the new; Radiant Hearts Stencil over a Strathmore Smooth Bristol card panel on a landscaping way. Then, I carefully secured the stencil to the back of the card panel with washitape, and I inked it up with the following Distress Oxide Inks; Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold creating a gradient look.
Once, I’ve got the card panel ink up, I carefully removed the stencil from the card panel, and I added clear embossing glitter over the inked radiant hearts. Therefore, after I’ve added the clear embossing glitter, I heated set the embossing glitter with my Heat Embossing Gun Tool. So, after I’ve got the heat embossing done, I trimmed the edges down from the card panel as usual, and I foam mounted it to an A2 side folding white card base. Lastly, I glued down with liquid glue the die-cutting sentiment which, I had previously die-cut 3X out of white cardstock, stacked and white heat embossed for a glossy and dimensional look. So, to finish the card off, I glued down with liquid glue the die-cutting sentiment along with its shadow layer which by the way, I die-cut out of translucent vellum. Then, I glued down with liquid glue as well the dimensional hearts which I had inked up using the same ink colors. As a finishing touch, I covered the hearts with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and I topping it up with Glossy Accent for an extra dimensional look.
As soon as, I was done with the first card I set it aside and I moved on to second example. So therefore, for the second example I placed the Radiant Hearts Stencil over a Strathmore Smooth Bristol card panel however, to create a difference look this time, I placed the stencil on a portrait way with the radiant hearts facing to the right on the card panel. Although I wanted to create a different look, I still tried to keep it simple by using the same color combination and sparkle.
So, right after the card panel was inked up and glitter heat embossed, I trimmed the edges down once again as usual and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base. Lastly, I mounted (as shown above) with craft foam tape the Love You sentiment which, I’ve had gold heat emboss on white card stock, and which I stacked to a second white die-cutting circle for extra dimension. By the way, the sentiment is part of the Love and Valentines Stamp Set.
Even though is hard to capture the glitter, I tried my best capturing not only the glitter, but how cool and versatile this stencil is as possibilities are endless.
Finally, to finish both cards off I left the portrait card as is, and I glued down with liquid glue some of the You Are Peachy Sequin Mix here and there on the landscaping card.
