Spellbinders Simply Perfect Collection ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very colorful trio of cards made showcasing the latest Spellbinders -Simply Perfect Collection. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Color Block Slices Birthday Card

This collection includes this awesome Color Block Slices Etched Dies which includes 2 thin dies that you can use with your favorite color combination to achieve fun designs by laying it out from the top, bottom, side or center. That said, I went ahead to line up the smaller die from the set over a large piece of light Pink cardstock and I ran them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, after I had finished the first die-cutting color block, I went ahead to repeat the same step to die-cut out of 9 different color cardstock in a rainbow spectrum using the same die.

Once, I had finished die-cutting each color block, I went ahead to get each of them adhered with double-sided tape in a rainbow color spectrum to an A2 top folding card panel. Thus, as soon as I had finished that step, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the card panel a bit smaller than an A2 size top folding white card base and then, I’ve gotten it mounted to the card base with foam mounting tape to add dimension to it.

Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue over the card (as shown in the image above) a combination of three 3-dimensional die-cutting words which I had previously die-cutting out of white cardstock using three dies from Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments Etched. Last but certainly not least, I went ahead to add glossy accent to each die-cutting word to add a glossy dimension look and then, I also went ahead to glue down here and there some crystal sequins to add a pop of shine!

Textured Floral Card

For the second example, I made a floral textured card using a combination of Simply Perfect Florets Embossing Folder to add the dry embossing floral texture to the background card panel and Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies to create the floral cluster. Therefore, first I went ahead to follow the instructions from my platinum 6 to dry emboss a white card panel and once I had that done, I went ahead to adhere the textured card panel to an A2 top folding white card base.

Moving on, right after that I had the textured card panel adhered to the card base, I went ahead to set it off aside while I started the die-cutting process for the floral cluster. Thus, for the floral cluster, I went ahead to line up over different color cardstocks the dies included in Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies to die-cut each layer from the flowers and leaves out of them.

Once, I had the die-cutting done for each layer, I went ahead to glue them down and I proceeded to create the floral cluster which right afterwards mounted on the lower left side of the card (as shown in the image above) Consequently as soon as I had the floral cluster glued down over the card, I went ahead to glue down a 3-dimensional Sending Hugs sentiment which I had previously die-cut out of white and gold cardstock using once again word dies from Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments Etched. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some crystal sequins to add a pop of sparkle to it.

Hello Floral Framed Card

The last example required a little extra time as I made a framed floral card with a few die-cutting floral and leaves using different color cardstock and dies once again from Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies. Therefore, I went ahead to die-cut each layer for the leaves and flowers and once I had enough pieces, I went ahead to layer them over by gluing each of them using liquid glue.

Next, to start the assembling for the card, I went ahead to adhere with double-sided tape a floral textured white card panel over an A2 size side top folding white card base on landscape form. Then right after that, I went ahead to create a floral frame over it by gluing down with liquid glue some of the die-cutting flowers and leaves and by mounting some of them as well with foam square adhesives to add dimension.

Once, I had finished creating the floral frame around the card panel, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it to remove the excess pieces from the die-cutting flowers and leaves. Lastly, I went ahead to glue down in the center of it a 3-dimensional Hello word which I had previously die-cut out of white and gold cardstock using alpha letters from Simply Perfect Alphabet Etched Dies set which is also part of this gorgeous collection. And, to finish the card off, I’ve gotten glued down here and there with liquid glue some crystal sequins to add an extra touch of shine.
