Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a set of 5 “Spring” inspiration cards along with a mini slimline card made using Die Cut Shapes, Tags, Chipboard Stickers, Die Set, Stamp Set and the Patterned Paper Pad included in MAR-2021 “Celebrate Spring Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step for how I’ve made them ↓
As per usual with every Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month, I started by selecting the die cut shapes and patterned paper sheets that I was going to use to create each card so therefore, I started by making the first example, trimming off one of the patterned paper sheets to H 5-1/4’’ x W 4.0’’ inches.
Next, as soon as I had finished trimming off the first patterned paper sheet, I went ahead to get a second patterned paper sheet trim off to W 3-1/4’’ x 4-5/8’’ inches. Then, I also went ahead to trim off a H 4-7/8’’ x 3-5/8’’ inches gold panel. So, as soon as I had finished trimming off the card panels, I went ahead to layer them over each other and then, I’ve gotten them adhere with double-sided tape over to one of the textured white card bases included in the cardkit.
Lastly, I went ahead to get the card embellished (as shown in the image above) using a whole lot of die cut shapes included in the card kit to create happy and very dimensional Spring view in the garden. Last but not least, I added a sparkle touch by gluing down some of the gems included on this month’s card kit.
For the second card, I went ahead to trim off the edges from one of the patterned papers and then, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered to one of the card bases using once again the double-sided tape included in the kit.
Therefore, once I had that step done, I went ahead to select some of the die cut shapes with a circle forms and then, I’ve gotten some of them glue down with liquid glue over the card panel while, I also mounted some of them with foam square adhesives to add a bit of dimension.
Lastly, after having the circle die cut shapes adhered to the card panel, I went ahead to mount as well with foam square adhesives the floral wreath die cut shape right in the center of the card then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down some of the self-adhesive gems included in the kit to adding that way a bit of shine.
For the third example, I made a Friendship card using some of the critter die cut shapes so therefore, I went ahead to trim the edges off from one of the patterned paper sheets and then I’ve gotten it adhere to one of the white textured card bases.
Next, I went ahead to create the friendship scene with the critter die cut shapes along with some of the floral die cut shapes. Last but not least, I mounted one of the die cut shape words with skinny pieces of craft foam tape and I also glue down one of them with liquid glue to the card to create the sentiment for it with them.
Thus, right after that I finished creating the friendship scene, I went ahead to finish the card off by gluing down some of the self-adhesive gems to add a touch of shine to it.
For the fourth example, I went ahead to make a lucky day greeting card using the clover leaves die cut shapes included in the kit. So therefore, I went ahead to trim the edges off from one of the patterned paper sheets and then, I’ve gotten it adhere with double-sided tape to a slightly larger gold card panel which, right afterwards, I’ve gotten it adhere as well with double-sided tape to one of the textured white card bases.
Thus, as soon as I had finished adhering the patterned panels to the card base, I went ahead to get embellishing done by gluing down with liquid glue some of the clover leaves and by mounting others with square foam adhesives to add dimension (as shown in the image above.)
Moving on, to finish the card off, I mounted one of the bunnies die cut shapes as well as a banner flags and an extra die cut shape to creating that way the sentiment for the card. And, as finishing touches, I glued down with liquid glue some of the gold heart die cut shapes as well as some of the self-adhesive gems to add a touch of shine to it.
For the fifth card, I went ahead to trim the edges off from one of the patterned paper sheets and then, I’ve gotten it adhere to a larger gold card panel. Next, I adhered the backing of the layered card panel to one of the textured white card bases and then, I moved on to get it embellished.
Therefore, to embellish it, I went ahead to mount with craft foam tape the 2 largest floral cluster die cut shapes on the upper left and lower right corners of the card. Next, I tucked in some of the smaller cluster leaves and then, I went ahead to trim the excess off each side of it.
Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to stamp, heat emboss and die-cut a sentiment over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments from the stamp set including in this month’s cardkit as well as its coordinating die which, it is also included in the die set included in this month’s card kit. That said, after I had mounted the sentiment, I went ahead to glue down some of the self-adhesive gems to add a touch of shine to the card.
For the sixth and last example, I made an extra slimline card of a bookmark if you prefer to look at it that way. So therefore, I used the leftover pieces from the patterned paper sheets that I had left over from the previous examples.
So, I went ahead to layer the pieces over one another and then, I’ve gotten adhere a gold strips to each side of the card panel. Next, I adhered the floral wreath to a larger piece of gold cardstock and then, I fussy cut it off out of the gold cardstock following the die cut shape design using a small pair of scissors.
Nevertheless, I mounted with foam square adhesives the floral wreath over the card and then, I glued down with liquid glue a tied bow die cut shape on the lower side of the wreath. Last but not least, I’ve gotten glue down some of the self-adhesive gems to add a touch of shine.
