Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very colorful and dimensional “Spring Greetings” inspiration card made showcasing Open House Spring Etched Dies from the latest, Open House Collection by Spellbinders. Along with this set, I’ve also used Open House Topiary Etched Dies, Open House Pumpkin Topiary Etched Dies, Open House Door Base Etched Dies and Always Welcome Door Base to create the full Spring scene. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started off by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the dies including in Open House Door Base Etched Dies and Always Welcome Door Base sets to cut out the door and all elements to create the door base. Also, I went ahead to cut out some of the door elements from gold cardstock.
Next, right after I had that step done, I went ahead to use the dies including in Open House Spring Etched Dies to cut out the flower pieces out of light and dark yellow color cardstock. Also, I used the dies to cut out the leaves and wreath out of green cardstock. The door mat, balloon and some of the small flowers for the wreath out of teal cardstock.
Then, I used some of the dies including in Open House Pumpkin Topiary Etched Dies to cut out from white and gold cardstock the outdoor flower vases. Besides that, I cut out the cute little bunny from white and light pink cardstock. The wreath’s bow out gold cardstock and for that I used the bow die including in Open House Topiary Etched Dies.
Once, I had finished die-cutting all pieces, I’ve gone ahead to get the card assembling started. Thus, I went ahead to create a A7 size white card base. Then, I added some scoring lines to a smaller white card panel to add texture to it and once I had that done, I quickly gone ahead to adhere the backing of it to the card base. Next, I added a smaller light gray cardstock piece to the bottom of the front card panel and then, I’ve got mounted the door base using a combination of double-sided adhesive and craft foam adhesive to add dimension to it. Right after that I’ve got finished mounting the door base over the front card panel, I proceed to create and get mounted the floral vases on each side of the door base.
Lastly, I added some greenery to the back of the floral vases and then, I glued down the greenery on the upper side of the door base as well as the door wreath. As for the wreath, I went ahead to get it embellished using the smaller flowers and the gold bow. Nevertheless, I went ahead to glue down the door mat, the bunny, and the balloon as well as a small envelope and the smaller sentiment to compliment the sentiment from the door mat.
Finally, I went ahead to glue down the center of the flowers, a small flower to the bunny’s head as well as jewels to each center of the smaller flowers, adding that way and extra pop of shine to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this colorful and dimensional “Spring Greetings” inspiration card showcasing the Open House Spring Etched Dies from the latest, Open House Collection by Spellbinders.
