Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Hand-Stitched” cards made using “Borders & Sentiments” MAY-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which pairs perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓
Therefore, for the first example I created a very dainty floral frame for the card panel background so, I started by placing on a portrait way inside my MISTI Stamping Tool an A2 standard size white card panel and then, I went ahead to place over on one side of it the large floral border stamp image including in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit. Thus, for the stamping, I went ahead to stamp the image using Detail Black Ink, and as soon as I had that done, I went ahead to rotate the card panel to get the stamping done on the other edge of it as well. Next, to continue the border floral frame, I went ahead to remove the large stamp image and then, I place over the medium floral border stamp image so, I could get it stamped in both side of the card panel in the same way as I did with the large image.
Next, to close the frame off on the bottom and top of the card panel, I went ahead to place the medium size floral border on the top side of it, and I went ahead to get it stamped on both sides of it. Lastly, to finish the stamp off, I placed over it the smaller floral border and I’ve also gotten it stamped on both sides of it. The stamp set also includes single floral stamp images so, I went ahead to get one of them stamped on both corners of the floral frame to close the little gap that I had there which was not quite necessary, but I decided to do it this way for a fuller look.
Thus, after having the floral frame completed, I went ahead to get the large sentiment including in the stamp set stamped in the middle of the floral frame and then, I quickly added a pop of color to the frame using the following Copic Marker color combination; YR00, YR02, Y38, RV00, RV02, RV04, YG24, YG25 and G94. Nevertheless, after I’ve had finished the coloring, I went ahead to get the edges trim off from it, and then I layered the card background panel over a larger gold card panel which right afterwards, I’ve gotten it mounted with craft foam adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base to add a bit of dimension to it. Last but not least, I finished the card off by gluing down a combination of small gems to add an extra pop of color and sparkle to the card.
As, I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the larger sentiment from the clear stamp of the month also fits perfectly inside the die-cutting and stitching design created by the frame die including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club.
Therefore, to create this card, I went ahead to line up over an A2 size heavy weight white cardstock panel the background die including in the large die of the month kit and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I went ahead to use the brush head from my Tool ‘n One to remove the little positive pieces from the die-cutting frame and then, I proceeded to get the stitching process done using a few embroidery needles along with the following DMC Embroidery Floss color combination; 818, 963, 967, 3852 and 3819.
Moving, for the stitching process, I went ahead to follow the marks created by the die, and as soon as I had finished hand-stitching the whole die-cutting panel, I went ahead to get the backing of it glue down using Bearly Art Mini 2 fl oz Precision Craft Glue + Tip Kit over a second die-cutting panel which right afterwards I’ve got mounted over an A2 size top folding white card base. Last but not least, I went ahead to finish the card off by getting the large sentiment from the stamp set stamped and gold heat embossing in the center of the card. Then, as a finish touch, I also got glue down some jewels in the center of the large flowers to add an extra touch of shine.
For the last example, I went ahead to line up over large pieces of white cardstock every single die from this month’s Small Die of the Month Club and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Thus, after I’ve had finished the die-cutting process, I’ve gone ahead to use the brush head from the tool ‘n one to get the positive pieces removed from them and then, I went ahead to get each of them glue down with liquid glue over an A2 top folding white card base following the design from the set.
Therefore, after having the card background completed, I went ahead to embellish the card by mounting a hand-stitched flower which I’ve had previously created using the flower die including in this month’s large of the month and the sentiment which, I had also stamped and gold heat embossing over a small piece of pink cardstock using one of the sentiments including in this month’s clear stamp of the month. Lastly, to finish the card off I’ve gotten some small pink jewels glue down around the arched frame to add an extra pop of color and shine.
With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “Hand-Stitched” cards using “Borders & Sentiments” MAY-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit along with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
