Spellbinders March Clubs Blog Hop┃Inspiration Cards
Hello crafters, Yasmin here welcoming you to the amazing Spellbinders’ March Clubs Blog Hop. If you’re coming from →Michelle Short’ blog you’re in the right track as, I’m the next stop after her. Therefore, to celebrate the Spellbinders March 2020 Clubs release, we are giving away a $50 gift certificate to 5 lucky blog readers (more information will be listing below)With that being said, today I’ll be sharing with you these 3 Quick & Simple-Easter projects that I’ve created showcasing the; March-2020 “Feeling Hoppy” card kit of the month. So, without further ado, let’s jump into the step by step on how to make them ↓
To begin with, I started by trimming off one of the patterned papers from the paper pad included in the cardkit to W 4.0’’x H 5-1/4’’in. Next, I adhered the patterned panel with the double-sided tape (included in the kit) to one of the white card bases which, is also included in the kit. Right after that, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the six-to-last rectangle die from the Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to die-cut a rectangle out of white cardstock. Once, the rectangle die-cutting was done, I adhered it down with double-sided tape to the card base, and I set the card base aside.
For the focal point of the card, I used nothing but the shapes from the Die Cut Shapes included in the kit. So, to create the basket first; I carefully glued down the bottom part of 5 eggs to the basket. Second, I adhered down with liquid glue to the left side of the basket one of the bows followed for a heart which, I adhered with one of the square foams to add dimension. Third, I added a floral touch to the basket by adhering with liquid glue a foliage die-cut shape. Lastly, when the basket was complete, I foam mounted it to the card base. Finally, to finish the card off, I adhered down the handle of the Flag with liquid glue, and I raised the level of the flag with dimensional.
To create the second card base, I repeated the same steps as I did for the first example so, I’ll skip the explanation by jumping directly to the focal point of the card. With that said first; I foam mounted one of the largest floral die-cut shapes to the basket. Second, I glued down the bottom part of 3 eggs to the basket. Third, I adhered down more floral shapes along with some of the greenery shapes.
At this point the basket was completed, so I glued down the bottom part of it to the card base. Because, I only glued down the bottom part of the basket, I was able to add dimension to the top part of some of the shapes so, I added square foams to them. Lastly, besides the eggs and foliage, I decided to add a note shape as well (you can see Memories in between) Finally to finish the card off, I foam mounted on the bottom left corner the Happy Easter banner die-cut shape, and I adhered some of the Gold Fleck Gemstones for an extra sparkly look.
For the last project, I created a gold frame using the die set included in the kit. So therefore, the first thing that I did was to run through the die-cutting machine the frame, foliage and ear dies to die-cut them out of gold cardtock. Second, I ran through the die-cutting machine the flower die to die-cut flowers out of Yellow, Hot Pink and Purple color carstock. Third, I ran through the die-cutting machine the leaves die to die-cut lots of leaves out from one of the patterned papers from the pad. (By the way, the gold cardstock along with the color cardstock are also included in the kit) Lastly, to finish the die-cutting part, I ran through the die-cutting machine once again the frame to die-cut it out from white cardstock, the foliage to die-cut it out from the same gold cardstock, and the ears to die-cut them out from the Pink-striped patterned paper.
Once, all die-cutting pieces were done I started the assembling. To do that first; I glued down with liquid glue the gold frame to the white frame. Second, I glued down also with liquid glue the foliage to the bottom and top parts of the frame. Third, I adhered the gold ears to the pink-striped ears and I adhered them to the frame. Lastly, I carefully glued down with liquid glue the floral clusters and leaves that I created from the die-cutting pieces to the bottom and top parts of the frame (as shown above) Finally, to finish the card off I trimmed off the edges from one of the patterned paper from the pad to H 5.0’’x W 3-3/4’’ in, and I foam mounted the backing of it to one of the white card bases. Then, I glued down with double-sided tape the white oval to the cards, and last but not least, I glued down with liquid glue to the card the frame. As a finishing touch, I adhered with square foams one of the sentiments from the sticker sheets, and to balance the dimension out, I also adhered the ears with square foams.
