Hello and Welcome! Today, I’m honored for joining Spellbinders for their March 2021 Clubs Kit Inspiration Blog Hop! Throughout the hop, you’ll see amazing projects created by many talented designers showcasing this month’s Club Kits. So therefore, to get you inspired I will be sharing this “Hello Spring” card showcasing this month’s Large Die of the Month. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
To begin with, this is an interactive die set so therefore, I started by slightly inking up an A2 white card panel with Sea Glass color ink, and once I had the ink blending over the card panel done, I went ahead to line up the die that creates 3 slots at 1’’ inch for each side and 1-3/4’’ inch in height. Next, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. And, once that I was done die-cutting the 3 slots, I kept going to die-cut the slider piece as well as the 3 slats plus the small pieces that guides the slider.
Thus, as soon as I had the die-cutting pieces for the interactive panel, I went ahead to assemble it using small brads and then I set the card panel off to the side while I continued the die-cutting for the 3 figures. And, once I’ve had finished die-cutting each piece, I’ve gone ahead to assemble each figure, and right after that I’ve had gotten them assembled, I’ve gone ahead to mount each of them with a small piece of craft mounting tape to the slats on the card panel.
Moving on, after having the 3 figures mounted to the interactive card panel, I went ahead to make sure that the interactive mechanism were properly working, and as soon as I completely sure, I proceeded to mount the card pane with craft foam tape to an A2 side folding white card base in a landscaping form.
Lastly, after having the card panel mounted to the card base, I went ahead to create the dimensional Spring scene using the die-cutting grass, flowers, and clouds pieces that I’ve had previously die-cut out of different color cardstocks using the dies included in this month’s club kit.
Nevertheless, I also went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue a few crystal sequins to add a pop of shine, and then to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the dimensional sentiment which I’ve had previously created by die-cutting it out of white and gold cardstock.
NOTE: To make the pulling of the slider easier, I added a piece of natural string along with a brad to secure it. By the way, I left the string a bit longer so I could hide its end inside of the card once its close and ready to place it inside the envelope.
With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I made this “Hello Spring” card showcasing this month’s Large Die of the Month.
