March 2021 - Flowers Challenge┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this colorful “Floral” inspiration card made using a few goodies from Keep It Real Collection along with it, I’ve also used Infinite Blooms Stamp Set, Curvy Leaves Die Set and Slim Stripes Die Set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To start off, I would like to mention that this card is inspired by Pinkfresh Studio’s “March2021 - Floral’’ challenge.

So therefore, I went ahead to select this awesome color block patterned paper sheet from this collection’s Keeping It Real: 6 x 6 Paper Pack and then, I went ahead to trim it off in an angle way using my paper trimmer.

Once, I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of one of the trim down angled pieces with double-sided tape to an A2 white card panel. Next, I’ve gotten trim down 1/8’’ of an each from each side of the card panel and I’ve also gotten trim off the excess pieces from the patterned sheet. Thus, after having that step done, I’ve gone ahead to glue down a gold strip to each side of the card panel (as shown in the image above.) So, to get the perfect straight gold strip cardstock pieces, I used the medium size dies from Slim Stripes Die Set. However, I must say that you can use the paper trimmer to do that as well.

Moving on, after having the previous steps done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of the card panel with double-sided tape to an A2 side folding white card base and then, I’ve gotten the embellishing for the card started.

Therefore, first: I started by stamping and gold heat embossing a sentiment included in Infinite Blooms Stamp Set on the upper right side of the card.

Secondly; I created a floral cluster with some of the flora die cut shapes included in Keeping It Real: Floral Ephemera Pack and then, I’ve gotten it mounted with liquid glue and foam square adhesives to create dimension in the left side of the card. To make a fuller effect to the floral cluster, I also tucked in some leaves which I’ve had previously die-cut out translucent vellum using the smaller die from Curvy Leaves Die Set.

Lastly, to finish the card off, I adhered down here and there some yellow enamel dots from Keeping It Real: Enamel Dots, adding that way an extra shiny pop of color.
