Spellbinders KOM DEC-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of inspirational cards made with a “Shaker & Cheerful” look using: "Love Grows Here" Cardmaking Club of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example as per usual with every card-making kit club, I started by using the die set included in the kit. Thus, I went ahead to use the dies and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with pieces of colored cardstock included in the cardmaking club kit to die-cut the pieces for the little birds and the branch and its flowers and leaves.

Next, after completing the die-cutting step, I proceeded to get the little birds assembled and the branch with its flowers and leaves. Once, I got that done, I went ahead to put them aside, and then I used one of the textured white card bases and card panel created out of one of the patterned paper sheets to add it as the card background. Next, I used a piece of white cardstock to create another smaller layering panel, and then I got the backing of it mounted with craft foam adhesive to the front card background.

To continue, as soon as, I got the layering for the front card panel done, I proceeded to get the branch and the birds glued down to the card, and to finish it off, I added some of the puffy stickers included in the cardmaking club kit to use them as the card sentiment. Also, I used some of the sequins that are included in the kit, too to add the center of the flowers a little touch of shine.

For the second example, I used another textured card base but this time, I used it in a landscaping form to make this example. Therefore, I went ahead to use another patterned paper sheet from the paper pad to create the card background, then I proceeded to get the backing of the card background adhered to the card base and put it aside.

Meanwhile, I selected some of the die-cut shapes and one of the chipboard frames to create the shaker frame and the focal point for the card, so I went ahead to create the shaker frame using the chipboard frame along with a small piece of acetate and the sequins. Then, I got it mounted to the front card panel. Next, I use the die-cut shapes to get the shaker frame embellished, and then, I proceeded to get the card to finish off by adding some of the die-cut shapes and chipboard stickers to create the card sentiment.

Lastly, for the last example, I went ahead to create another shaker card frame but this time in a portrait card design. Thus, I went ahead to add the card background to one of the textured white card bases (in the same way as I did for the previous examples.) Then, in the same way, I created the shaker frame and got it mounted to the front card panel.

Once, I had the frame mounted over the card front card panel, I went ahead to get it embellished using some of the die-cut shapes and a puffy sticker to finish off the card sentiment.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of inspirational cards made with a “Shaker & Cheerful” look using: "Love Grows Here" Cardmaking Club of the Month by Spellbinders.
