Happy New Year, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this beautiful dainty and intricate set of cards made showcasing the latest JAN-2021 “Lovely Card Creator” Small Die of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓
To begin with, I started by lining up over an A2 Sea Glass color cardstock panel the frame die from Small Die of the Month Club. Next, after I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.
NOTE: Although the dies from the kit are beautiful, I would like to mention that they are also very intricate so, is best to use a metal shim along with the cutting plates to make the die-cutting much more easier.
So therefore, after I was done die-cutting the frame I went ahead to remove all the tiny intricate pieces with the help of my Tool ‘n One, and once I’ve had finished removing them I’ve gone ahead to get glue down with liquid glue the backing of the dainty frame over an A2 top folding white card base.
Next, after I’ve got it glued it to the card base, I’ve gone ahead to set it off aside. Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up over a white card panel the small frame included in the club, and then I’ve gone ahead to run them through my die-cutting machine. Once, that I’ve had finished die-cutting the dainty white frame, I’ve gone ahead to use once again my Tool ‘n One to remove the tiny intricate die-cutting pieces out of the frame.
Once, I’ve got them all removed out from the frame, I’ve gone ahead to adhere tiny pieces of craft foam tape to the backing of it and then I’ve gone ahead to mount the dainty frame over the card base raising a bit of dimension between both detailed frames. Moving on, I would like to mention that the small frame also die-cut a heart shape in the center of the intricate frame so, that said instead of using the white die-cutting heart from the frame, I went ahead to get glue down with liquid glue a die-cutting gold heart which I’ve got previously die-cut out of gold cardstock in the same way as I previously did it with the white frame.
Lastly, to finish off the frames layering I went ahead to line up over the white die-cutting heart the insert die which is also included in this month’s club kit and then, I ran them through the die-cutting machine. Therefore, as soon as I’ve got the die-cutting done, I’ve gone ahead to remove the negative pieces out of the heart and then, I’ve gone ahead to get it glue down with liquid glue over the gold heart (as you can see in the image above) Finally, as embellishments I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue a few white greenery die-cutting pieces which I’ve had previously die-cut out of white cardstock using some of the dies included in the Large Die of the Month Club along with a pre-made paper rose which I took out my stash. Then, to finish the card off I’ve gone ahead to mount a foiled sentiment as shown in the image above which I’ve got previously foiled over white cardstock using one of the sentiments included in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold. Last but not least, I’ve also got glue down with liquid glue some gold jewels to add an extra touch of shine.
I love so much this Lovely Card Creator club kit of the month that, I decided to make a second card showcasing just the small frame so therefore, to make this card I started by adhering with double-sided tape a textured white card panel over an A2 top folding white card base which by the way, I’ve had previously created using Inspire Embossing Folder and by following the instructions from my die-cutting machine.
Thus for the dainty frame, I’ve gone ahead to line up the small frame die over a piece of Sea Glass cardstock and then right after that I’ve got it done, I’ve gone ahead to use once again the Tool ‘n One to get all the small die-cutting pieces out of the frame along with the heart die-cutting shape because, I wanted to replace it by mounting a different heart which, I’ve had previously foiled using one of the glimmer plates from Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club.
That said, after I’ve had finished mounting the small frame and the foiled heart over the card base, I went ahead to mount with craft foam tape a sentiment along with a small cluster of flowers which I’ve had previously created using a combination of die-cutting pieces from both Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club. Last but certainly not least, to finish the card off, I also went ahead to glue down with liquid glue some gold jewels to compliment the shine from on both cards.
