Hello and Welcome! Today, I’m honored for joining Spellbinders for their February 2021 Clubs Kit Inspiration Blog Hop! Throughout the hop, you’ll see amazing projects created by many talented designers showcasing this month’s Club Kits. So therefore, to get you inspired I will be sharing this “Birthday” card showcasing a mix of Large Die of the Month, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Small Die of the Month. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by creating the textured background card panel so, to do that I started by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the small dies from this month’s Small Die of the Month and then, I went ahead to run them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine as many time until I had quite a few to create the background panel.
Right after that I was done die-cutting them, I went ahead to use my Tool ‘n One to pop the small pieces out of each die-cutting piece and then, I went ahead to glue them down with liquid glue over an A2 size white card panel until I had gotten completely cover the white card panel. Thus, once I had that step done, I went ahead to adhere the backing of the card panel with double-sided tape to an A2 size top folding white card base.
Moving on, I went ahead to set the card base off to the side so, I could go to get a white card panel foiled using the large glimmer plate from this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club along with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass. Therefore, once I had the foiling over the card panel done, I went ahead to use one of the dies from Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies Set to die-cut a window inside the foiled panel and as soon as I had that done, I went ahead to mount the die-cutting foiled frame over the card panel with skinny pieces of craft foam tape to add a bit of dimension to it.
Lastly, right after that I had the frame mounted over the card base, I went ahead to start the embellishment for it so, to do that, I went ahead to mount the die-cutting gold Happy word over the top side of card, as well as the small glimmer foiled birthday sentiment. Then, I glued down with liquid glue on the lower side of the card a cluster of leaves and flowers which I had previously created using a combination of leaves and flowers from the January’s Large Die of the Month and Organic Foliage Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. By the way… the Happy die-cutting word is from this month’s Large Die of the Month and the Birthday sentiment is a partial sentiment from a glimmer plate included in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club.
Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue some gold jewels here and there to add an extra touch of shine! With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I made this “Birthday” card showcasing a mix of Large Die of the Month, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Small Die of the Month.
