Spellbinders FEB-2021 CSOM ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of “Floral” cards made using “Trefoil Florals & Sentiments” FEB-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit which pairs perfectly with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit both by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

So therefore, for the first example, I started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool an A2 standard size white card panel. Second, I went ahead to create the Trefoil Floral background over the panel by stamping repeatedly with Detail Black Ink each floral stamp image from Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit.

Therefore, as soon as I had finished stamping the full background panel, I went ahead to remove it from the stamping tool and then, I quickly added a pop of color to each stamped image using a mix of hues from my Color Crush Watercolor Palette Pans. Thus, right after that I finished the water-coloring and the panel was completely dry, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it and once I had that done, I adhered the backing of it with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

As for the sentiment, I went ahead to trim down a piece of Gold cardstock to W 2-7/8’’ x H 1-1/4’’ inches and a piece of White cardstock to W 2-3/4’’ x H 1-1/8’’ inches. Next, I stamped, and heat emboss 2 sentiments from the stamp set over the white cardstock piece using embossing ink and gold embossing powder. Then, I adhered the heated embossing white cardstock piece with double-sided tape over the gold cardstock piece and last but not least, I mounted the stacked sentiment with craft mounting tape on the lower side of the card to add dimension. And to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue a few crystal sequins to add a touch of shine.

As I mentioned at the beginning of today’s post this the images from the stamp set also perfectly pair with Small Die of the Month Club therefore, I made a clean and simple card using the Trefoil Tile & Panel Card Creator die from the small die of the month.

That said, I went ahead to line up each die from the set over a large piece of white cardstock and once I had that done, I ran then thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut them out from the cardstock. So, to create the trefoil card panel, I repeated the previous step for the die-cutting panel and then, I stacked them together by gluing them down with liquid glue. Next, I glued down with liquid glue the stacked die-cutting piece in the center of an A2 top folding white card base. Then, I lined up once again the panel die from the small die of the month over a large piece of gold cardstock to die-cut 3 solid trefoil pieces. Which, right afterwards I inlaid them over the detailed panel as shown in the image above.

Lastly, I went ahead to stamp with Detail Black Ink over a piece of white cardstock one of the sentiments from the stamp set and I’ve gotten it watercolor using once again hues from the same color palette. Next, I used one of the inner dies from the die set to die-cut the sentiment out of the white cardstock. and, last but not least, I went ahead to mount with foam square adhesives the sentiment in the center of the card to add dimension. Then, to finish the card off I glued down with liquid glue crystal sequins to also add a touch of shine.

For the last example, I made a landscaping design card using a combination of Clear Stamp of the Month Club, Small Die of the Month Club, Large Die of the Month Club and Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club. While the last 2 club kit don’t work together as the first 2 yet, they still can add extra details to any card design.

Therefore, I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform along with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass and Quick Trimmer to get the foiling for the scalloped frame done over the card panel thus, for the frame I used the largest glimmer plate from this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club. Next, for the floral circle, I made a floral background in the same way as I did for the first example and then, I used the largest die from Standard Circle LG Die Set to die-cut the floral circle. Lastly, I used the word Happy die from Large Die of the Month Club to die-cut the word out of white and gold cardstock.

Nevertheless, to assemble the card, I went ahead to trim off the edges from the foiled card panel and then, I’ve gotten it adhere with double-sided tape over an A2 size side folding white card base in a landscaping form. Next, I’ve gotten mounted the floral-patterned circle over the card base with craft mounting tape to add dimension and then, I stacked the white and gold letters from the die-cutting word, and I mounted them too over the floral-patterned circle (as shown in the image above.) Last but not least to finish the card off, I mounted a small sentiment which I had previously stamp and gold heat emboss over a strip of white cardstock and I also glue down with liquid some crystal sequins to compliment the sparkling vibe on all 3 designs.
