February 2021 Memorydex┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I would like to share with you my “February’s Memorydex Cards” made using Memorydex System by Heidi Swapp which you can find over Scrapbook.com. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To begin with, I started by creating my Monthly Memorydex card inserted which, is the one that you can see in the image above on my Heidi Swapp Rolodex Spinner - Blush. Therefore, to make it, I started by hand stitching the Stitchable Pinking Heart shape included in Perforated Pinking Shapes set using, DMC in Metallic Pink color.

Thus, as soon as I had finished the hand stitching over the heart shape, I went ahead to set if off aside while I started the die-cutting pieces. Therefore, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the outer and inner frame dies included in Heart Border Memorydex Metal Cutting Dies and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I lined up over a piece of white cardstock the Month Die February and then I went ahead to die-cut the month word twice out of white cardstock and once out of gold cardstock.

That said, right after I had the die-cutting pieces finish, I went ahead to add a pop of color to the inner die-cutting frame by using and ink blending brush along with the Inky Stripes stencil from Background Stencil Trio 1 Bundle and Blush Ink.

Lastly, to finish my Monthly Memorydex card, I went ahead to adhere with double-sided tape the inked inner frame over the outer detailed Memorydex frame. Next, I glued down with hot glue the hand-stitched heart and last but not least, I stacked the die-cutting February word and then, I’ve gotten it glue down also with hot glue over the heart.

For the second example, I created a simple Memorydex reminder card on a shaker form using my most use die which happens to be Cloud Border Memorydex Frame Metal Cutting Dies. Therefore, I went ahead to line up the largest die from the set over a piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through the die-cutting machine. Right after, I lined up the same die over a piece of white cardstock and then, I also lined up inside the die the inner die frame from the set to die-cut a window out of it.

Once, I had the die-cutting pieces done, I went ahead to ink up the solid die-cutting in the same way as I did in the first example and then, I started the layering for the Memorydex shaker card. So, I went ahead to adhere with double-sided tape a piece of acetate and then I adhered round its perimeter skinny pieces of craft foam tape to raise dimension. Once, I had that done, I went ahead to add a mix of glitters and sequins from my stash and then, I quickly went ahead to peel off the backing of the craft mounting tape and I finished the shaker Memorydex card by adhering the solid die-cutting and inked piece over it.

Lastly, as soon as I had finished the shaker concept, I went ahead to get the Memorydex shaker card embellish by gluing down a pre-made tied bow which I’ve had previously created out a piece of pink ribbon and pink button. Then, I glued down a stacked die-cutting word which I’ve had previously created by die-cutting, stamping and stacking out of white and gold cardstock using Oversized Heart Combo along with Blush Ink. Last but certainly not least, I finished the Memorydex card by mounting a gold heat embossing sentiment which I’ve had also stamp and heat emboss over a piece of white cardstock. By the way, the small sentiment is also included in the stamp and die combo.

To create the last example, I decided not to use any dies as this has been made out a piece of patterned cardstock and a few die cut shapes from my stash. Therefore, I started by trimming the edges off out a patterned paper sheet to W 4.0’’ X H 3-1/4’’ inches then, I used my WRMK Crop-A-Dile - Corner Chomper Tool to round its 4 corner and once I had that done, I went ahead to use my Heidi Swapp Memorydex Hole Punch - 2 Slot to punch the slots in the bottom part of it.

Thus, to combine the gold from the patterned paper, I also went ahead to punch 2 tabs out of gold cardstock using my WRMK- Tab Punch - File. Therefore, to embellish the Memorydex card, I adhered with double-sided tape both tabs (as show in the image above.) And then, I went ahead to create dimension over it by mounting the die cut shapes with craft foam tape (as shown in the image above.)

Last but not least, to finish it off, I went ahead to adhere some encouragement words in sticker strip form.

Finally, as last touches, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue some pink and white jewels from Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a touch of sparkle and to add even more shine, I also added Glossy Accent to the large Heart die-cutting word and to the gold heart from the camera die cut shape.
