Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspiration set of cards with a fun and colorful “Hand-Stitching” look made using: “Stitched Color Wheel” MAY-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. Along with this month’s clear stamp & die of the month, I used Small Die of the Month Club, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club, and Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started off by placing a large piece of white cardstock inside my MISTI Stamp Tool and then, I proceeded to line up each stamp images included in this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club to get them stamped over the white cardstock piece using, VersaMark Ink. Next, once I had finished stamping them up over the cardstock, I went ahead to sprinkle Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded over the stamped images and then, I proceeded to get the powder melted using my Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool. Then, right after that I had finished the heat embossing, I went ahead to use the coordinating dies included in the kit along with Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get the images cut out from the cardstock.
Once, I had finished cutting them all, I went ahead to use the insert die to add the dotted details to the color wheel and then, I used an embroidery needle and a rainbow pastel selection of embroidery threads to add the stitching detail over the color wheel. Also, I added DMC Diamant Metallic Gold Thread to add a metallic gold touch in between, as well. By the way, this month’s stamp set also includes a stamp image that add a solid color look to the color wheel, and you can see how that looks in the upper right corner in the image above. Having that being said, after getting the hand-stitching done over the color wheel, I proceeded to put it off to the side to get the stamping process done for the front card panel.
As for the front card panel, I used the solid bobbin stamp image to create a background pattern. Next, after creating the background pattern, I proceeded to get trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side using my Paper Trimmer and then, I got the backing of the front card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white cards base.
Lastly, to keep going with the card assembling, I went ahead to get the backing of the color wheel mounted to the card with craft foam adhesive to add dimension and then, I got the card embellished by adding another die-cutting and gold heat embossing plastic bobbin looking but, as you can see this time, I used the stamp image that has the embroidery threading look. Finally, to finish the card off, I used one of the card sentiments included in the stamp set along with its coordinating die to add the card sentiment to it.
For the second example, I went ahead to use this month’s Small Die of the Month Club. If, you follow along each of my blog post, you might have seen a similar card made using this die. However, I used a totally different color scheme for this example to compliment the hues used on the first example. So, If have not yet seen it, you can → CLICK HERE to check it out.
Thus, after adding the hand-stitching to the “HELLO” shadow die-cutting piece, I went ahead to add its die-cutting letters and then, I got the hello sentiment complemented using one of the card sentiments included in the stamp set. Lastly, I used this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club to add texture to an A2 size white card panel. A textured card panel which right afterwards, I had gotten trimmed down and mounted with craft foam adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. So, having that said, to finish the card off I went ahead to get the backing of hand-stitched hello adhered over the front card panel.
For the last example, I kept going with the faux and hand-stitching look so, to do that, I used once again this month’s embossing folder to add texture to the front card panel and then, I went ahead to get the backing of it mounted over an A2 size side folding white card base.
Next, to get the card embellished, I used the butterfly die included in this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club to create the detailed butterfly. Having that said, I went ahead to get the detailed butterfly gluing down over the center of the card and then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add one on the card sentiment which, I’ve had previously created using one of the sentiments and its coordinating die. By the way, you can → CLICK HERE for more details about how to make the butterfly.
As, finishing touches, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to add an extra touch of sparkle to each card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this inspiration set of cards with a fun and colorful “Hand-Stitching” look using: “Stitched Color Wheel” MAY-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club.
