Spellbinders CSOM + CDOM APR-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a fun and colorful set of “Interactive” inspiration greeting cards made using: “Happy Moments” APR-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. Along with this month’s Small Die of the Month Club, Large Die of the Month Club, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club, and Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I would like to start by sharing how I made this fun fold with an inner pop-up effect gift card. Thus, to begin with, I started off by placing a large piece of white cardstock inside my MISTI Stamp Tool and then, I proceeded to line up each stamp images included in this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club to get them stamped over the cardstock piece using, VersaMark Ink. Next, once I had finished stamping them up over the cardstock, I went ahead to sprinkle Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded over the stamped images and then, I proceeded to get the powder melted using my Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool. Then, right after that I had finished the heat embossing, I went ahead to use the coordinating dies included in the kit along with Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get the images cut out from the cardstock.

Moving on, as soon as, I had gotten finishing the die-cutting process, I went ahead to put them off to the side to create the pop-up effect for the card. So, to do that, I went ahead to get two pieces of white cardstock trim down to W 5-1/4” x H 5-1/2” inches. Next, I placed one of cardstock pieces over the Scoring Board with the wider end towards the right side of it and then, use my Teflon Bone Folder to add some scoring lines at 3/4, 2-1/4, 3.0, 4-1/2 and 5-1/4 inches marks. Then, once I had finished marking the scoring lines over it, I went ahead to repeat the same exact steps for the second cardstock piece. Thus, as soon as, I’ve got added the scoring lines over both pieces, I went ahead to fold them over and then, I proceeded to get the ends of each piece adhered with double-sided adhesive to create two rectangle boxed looking pieces.

Having that said, to proceed to the card assembling process, I went ahead to create a glimmering burst effect over an A2 size white card panel using this month’s “Glimmer Burst” APR-2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass. You can → CLICK HERE for more details for how to use this month’s glimmer kit. With that being said, I went ahead to trim down 1/8 on an inch from the hot foil stamped card panel using my Paper Trimmer and then, I proceeded to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive inside of the front flap on an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to get the backing and bottom portion of one of the pop-up elements to the card and then, I’ve got the second pop-up element gluing down to next to it however, for this one, I only got the bottom part and the inner edges of it to the first pop-up element, to leave the center without any adhesive and use it as the placement for a gift card just, as shown in the image above.

Lastly, I went ahead to get glue down one of the large gift boxes die-cutting images to the front of the pop-effect and then, I went ahead to glue down one the die-cutting sentiment to the base of the bottom side of the card. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to create a belly band closure for the card using a strip of white cardstock along with a smaller card panel. And last but not least, I got the smaller card panel embellished with another gift boxes image along with another card sentiment, to complete not only the full card design but the full “just a gift, to say thank you” card sentiment, too.

If you follow my blog posts, you might have seen how to make this wonderful paper crafted camera using this month’s Large Die Kit of the Month Club.

But, in case you missed the previous blog post, you can → CLICK HERE for the step-by-step for how to make it.

This camera has basically the same look as the one in the previous post however, instead of making it as a tag, I make this one as a shaped card. Other than that, I changed the color by using hues to coordinate with the color palette I used to create the first example.

So, to create the shaped card, all I did was to cut out the large piece for the camera then, I created a hinge by folding over the top part of it and then, by getting glue down the top folding piece to the back of the camera. Finally, to finish this shaped camera card off, I went ahead to glue down one of the card sentiments that I created earlier using the stamp set and its coordinating die.

For the third example, I made a slimline card design in a landscaping form using two of the die-cutting sentiments created by using the stamp set and their coordinating dies.

Thus, to do that, first I went ahead to add texture to a slimline size white front card panel using this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club. Next, I got trimmed off the edges of the textured card panel a little bit smaller than the card base and then, I proceeded to get the backing of it adhered with craft foam adhesive to a slimline size white card base.

Lastly, I used the dies included in this month’s Small Die Kit of the Month Club to create the longer die-cutting version of the gift boxes image with them. Then, I added pops of color to them and also, I added a gold touch to them by die-cutting the outer edge and ribbon bows from Gold Foil Cardstock. Nonetheless, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the gift boxes die-cutting image mounted with square foam adhesives over the card to add dimension and also, I got the card sentiments mounted over it, as shown in the image above.

As, finishing touches, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Crystal Confetti to add an extra touch of sparkle to the first and last example. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this fun and colorful set of “Interactive” inspiration greeting cards with an inner pop-up effect using: “Happy Moments” APR-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club.
