Spellbinders APR-2020 Cardkit of the Month Kit┃Inspiration Cards
Happy Tuesday, friends! Today, I’d like to share with you 4 cards that, I’ve created with the Die Cut Shapes, Stickers, Stamp Set and Patterned Paper Pad included in the; April-2020 “Weekend Fun” Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, grab a snack and let’s jump to the step by step for how to make them ↓
To begin with, I started by selecting all die cut shapes that I was going to use for all cards along with the patterned paper sheets from the paper pad included in the kit. To keep it simple, I used only 2 designs from the paper pad however, I doubled up them up as each design comes twice in the paper pad.
So, after the patterned paper were selected, I trimmed down the first gorgeous Green with foil accents to H 5-1/4’’ x W 4.0’’ inches and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to one of the white card bases included in the kit.
To embellish the card first, I mounted the smaller butterflies to the largest with square adhesives to add a dimensional look or a 3D effect if you will. Second, I played a bit with the placement for my butterflies so, after set their placement, I glued down with liquid glue the 2 die-cutting foiled sprigs and the 2 foiled die cut word shapes. Lastly, I glued down with liquid glue the butterfly along with a few gold jewels to complement the gold from the foiled pattern.
To create the second card, I trimmed down the second Green Foiled patterned paper sheet to H 5.0’’ x W 3-3/4’’ inches, and I adhered it to one of the white card bases included in the kit with double-sided tape.
So therefore, to change thing a bit, I glued down with liquid glue one of the cup die cut shapes to the card base and I mounted the second cup with foam square adhesives to add dimension.
Speaking of dimension, I added even more dimension to the card by mounting with foam square adhesives as well the Celebrate foiled die cut word. While I kept the Memories die cut word shape adhered down with liquid glue.
That said, here are both cards side by side, I hope you can appreciate the different look achieved with the die cut shapes even though, I used the same patterned papers.
Moving on, to make the 3rd card I used one out of the 2 Honeycomb pattern paper design sheets. So, I trimmed it down to H 5.0’’ X W 3-3/4’’ inches, then I adhered it down to one of the white card bases included in the kit with double-sided tape.
Once, I had the patterned paper adhered to the card base, I turned it sideways for a landscaping look, and I mounted 1 out of the 6 the 3D sticker which also happen to be included in the “Weekend Fun” cardkit. Then, I tucked in 2 foiled sprigs from the die cut shapes for a full floral cluster look.
Lastly, I mounted with square adhesives 2 arrows from the sticker sheets (as shown in the image above) to create the sentiment for the card. Then to finish the card off, I tucked in a tied bow that I made with a large piece of metallic string, and I glued down with liquid glue some gold jewels for an extra touch of gold.
There’s not Honeycomb without its Bees, am I right? So therefore, for the last example I trimmed the last patterned paper sheet and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to the white card base.
Then, I glued down 3 of the foiled sprigs with liquid glue in the lower left side of the card followed by one of the large bees to cover the ends of the sprigs.
Lastly, I mounted with foam double-sided tape over the card the square shape sentiment that I previously created by gold heat embossed 2 of the sentiments which by the way are part of the stamp set included in the card kit. So, to finish the card off, I mounted with square adhesives the other 2 bees and I glued down more gold jewels to complement the gold from the pattern paper sheet.
With that being said, here are the last 2 cards side by side. I hope that you’ve enjoyed learning about how, I’ve created these 4 cards with the Die Cut Shapes, Stickers, Stamp Set and Patterned Paper Pad included in the; April-2020 “Weekend Fun” Cardkit of the Month by Spellbinders.
