Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’m sharing with you a special and delicate inspirational card made with a “Geometrical & Glimmering” look using the Overlapping Geo Leaf Hot Foil, Overlapping Geo Leaf Stencil, and Overlapping Geo Leaf Die from the latest November-2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil & Hot Foil Release by Pinkfresh Studio. Also, to make this card, I’ve used the leftover reverse hot foil stamping for the Friend sentiment that I used in the previous blog post to add the card sentiment for this example. And lastly, I used Glitter Drops: Leaf to add an extra pop of sparkle, and PFS- Inks to add pops of colors plus, Foiled Sentiments 3 to compliment the Friend sentiment. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started by getting the hot foil stamping done for the geometrical card background, so to do that, I used a large piece of white cardstock and the Overlapping Geo Leaf Hot Foil along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and of course a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura.
Next, I used the Solid Hot Foil Plate and the leftover hot foil stamping pieces, and white cardstock to do the reverse hot foil stamping for the alphabet letters. Once, I finished the hot foil stamping process, I went ahead to put them aside, and then, I use the stencils included in Overlapping Geo Leaf Stencil along with some ink blending brushes and the following ink combination to ink up the geometrical card background with the following ink combination; Ballet Slipper Ink, Coral Reef Ink, Fresh Pear Ink, Olive Ink, and Warm Buff Ink.
Thus, after getting the inking done for the card background, I used the Overlapping Geo Leaf Die to die-cut it out from the cardstock. So, I went ahead to line up the die and over the inked-up background, and then I ran them thru the die-cut machine. Next, I repeated the same steps to die-cut out another two geometrical card backgrounds but those two times from plain white cardstock just to add dimension to the inked-up one. Then, I used the outer metal dies included in the Jeff Alpha Die set to die-cut the reverse hot foil stamped letters out from the cardstock.
Moving on, as soon as I had finished the die-cutting process for the card background and sentiment, I went ahead to glued down the card panel to an A2 size top folding white card base, and then I added pieces of craft foam adhesive to the back side of each letter to raise some dimension.
Finally, I went ahead to add the card sentiment to the card, so to do that, I arranged each letter in a way you can see in the image above, and then I proceeded to finish the card off by adding a sub-sentiment on the lower left side of the card. Then, I added an extra pop of sparkle by getting glued down here and there some of the Glitter Drops: Leaf. By the way for the sub-sentiment, I used one of the foiled sentiments from Foiled Sentiments 3.
And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this special and delicate inspirational card with a “Geometrical & Glimmering” look using stamps, stencils, and dies by Pinkfresh Studio.
