Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very delicate set of “Floral” inspiration cards made with the just released Small Bouquet Combo and Special Delivery Combo from the latest Special Delivery Release by Waffle Flower Crafts. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started off placing down a large piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to place over the paper piece each floral image including in Small Bouquet Stamp Set from the Small Bouquet Combo.
Next, as soon as I had got finished placing the floral stamp images over the cardstock piece, I went ahead to get them stamped over it using VersaFine Onyx Black. Once, I had finished stamping each floral image, I went ahead to let the pigment ink dry before I started the water-coloring for the flowers and leaves. Having that being said, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush as my coloring media.
Thus, right after that I’ve got finished coloring the flowers and leaves I went ahead to let them dry and once they were completely dry, I went ahead to use their coordinating dies including in Small Bouquet Die Set and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut them out of the cardstock piece. So, as soon as I had finished cutting them out, I went ahead to get the cards assembling started.
Moving on, for the first example, I went ahead to use the largest floral cluster from the set. A floral cluster which I had gotten wrap it up with white paper and translucent vellum. So, to create the perfect paper wrapper for the floral cluster, I used the one of the dies including in Special Delivery Die Set. Then, I used a piece of DMC in metallic gold and to create the bow I used some of the dies including in Twine & Bows Die Set along with a piece of gold cardstock. To create the floral cluster with a fuller look, I used some of the dies including Spring Leaves Die Set to cut out some leaves from translucent vellum for a subtle look. As for the card sentiment, I used one of the sentiments including in Special Delivery Sentiments Stamp Set which fits perfectly on a small die-cutting tag, a tag which I’ve had gotten created using one of the dies including in Special Delivery Die Set. Lastly, after finishing wrapping up my floral arrangement, I went ahead to get it mounted over a layered front card panel which I had created using the dies including in A2 Lacy Layers Die Set. And, then to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the backing of the layered panel adhered over an A2 top folding white card base.
To make the second example, I made a similar card however instead of using the paper wrapper for the floral arrangement I used one of the modern vase dies including in the die set.
Having that being said, I went ahead to wrap around a piece of DMC in metallic gold around the modern vase and then I added a bow. A bow which I created with the same die that I used in the previous example.
To keep it simple, I used the same die set to create a layered white front card panel. As you can see, I also added a third layer to it comparing with the previous example.
Lastly, I went ahead to get the modern base mounted over the layered card panel which I’ve had gotten previously adhered it over an A2 top folding white card base. Then, I created a floral arrangement over the modern vase using the individual flowers and leaves. Once, I had finished creating the floral arrangement, I used one of the label dies to get the card sentiment stamped over it, and then I place it inside the floral arrangement as you can see in the image above.
Finally, to finish the both cards off, I went ahead to glue down here and there to each of them some of the Crystal Confetti to add them an extra touch of shine. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this very delicate set of “Floral” inspiration cards using the just released stamp and die sets from the latest Special Delivery Release by Waffle Flower Crafts.
