Songbirds On Branches┃Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a glimmering “Love” inspiration card made using: Songbirds On Branches Hot Foil Plate, Songbirds On Branches Layering Stencils and, Songbirds On Branches Die from the latest February-2022 Stamp, Dies, Stencil & Hot Foil Release. by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this set, I used You Are My Favorite Stamp Set for the card sentiment, Essentials: Crystal Mix as the card embellishments and PFS- Inks as well to ink up the hot foil stamping images. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I’d like to start by mentioning that this set has its coordinating Songbirds On Branches Cling Stamp in case you aren’t yet into hot foil stamping. That said, to make this card, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done, so to do that, I went ahead to line up the Songbirds On Branches Hot Foil Plate over my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform. A platform, which I had already on and ready to foil. Next, I proceeded to get the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock using my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Copper to add the dark hue to the branches instead of using my most used gold hue.

Next, right after that I had finished the hot foil stamping over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to place it down over my stenciling platform to get it ink up using: Songbirds On Branches Layering Stencils along with some regular size and mini detailed ink blending brushes plus, a combination of Sweet Mustard Ink, Grassy Knoll Ink, Olive Ink, and Evergreen Ink for the leaves. Also, Soft Lilac Ink and Candy Violet Ink for the flowers and last but not least, a combination of all hues mentioning above plus a touch of Apricot Ink to ink up the cute little birds.

Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished the ink blending over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to put it off to the side to let the inks settled into the paper. Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up the Hearts and Stars Cover Plate Die over an A2 size white card panel and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to add the detailed die-cutting touch to it. Moving on, to keep going with the die-cutting process, I went ahead to line up Songbirds On Branches Die over the inked panel and then, I went ahead to run them though the die cut machine as well, to cut out the branches and birds from it.

Once, I had finished the die-cutting process, I went ahead to glue down the backing of the detailed white card panel over an A2 size white card base to add a white-on-white look. Next, I proceeded to get three of the branches with the birds included adhered over it using square foam adhesives to add dimension. If you get this set, I’d like to mention that you can create many designs using each die-cutting image but, if you follow the design just like I did for this example, the set includes a smaller branch however, I skipped it to leave space for the card sentiment in the lower right side of the card.

As for the card sentiment, I went ahead to get one of the card sentiments including in You Are My Favorite Stamp Set stamped with embossing ink and heat emboss it with cooper embossing powder over a piece of white cardstock. Then, I’ve gotten mounted the card sentiment over the lower right side of the card and then, after getting it mounted, I noticed that I had blank spaces, so I went ahead to fussy cut out smaller pieces from the smaller branch and then, I’ve gotten them glued down to cover up those blank spaces.

Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the Essentials: Crystal Mix to add an extra pop of sparkle to it! And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this glimmering “Love” inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
