Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Colorful” inspiration cards made using Some Days Collection which happens to be one of the latest Paper Collections by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
To begin with, to create the first example I went ahead to select one of the patterned paper sheets from Some Days: 6x6 Paper Pack and I’ve gotten it trimmed down slightly smaller than an A2 size card panel. Next, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided tape over an A2 size top folding white card base. Therefore, after I’ve had the card base completed, I’ve gone ahead to get mounted with craft foam a detailed white tag, which I’ve had previously created by die-cutting it out of white card base using dies from Essentials: Braided Tag Die Set.
Moving on, after I’ve gotten the detailed tag mounted over the card base, I kept going to get the card embellished with a floral & lemon cluster that I’ve had previously created using die cut shapes from Some Days: Elements Pack. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get a sentiment from Sweet Lemonade Stamp Set stamped and heat embossing on one side of the tag to complement the lemon theme for the card. Then, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to adhere down here and there some of the Some Days: Enamel Dots to add a pop of shine!
Thus, for the second card, I went ahead to create a similar card by using another of the patterned paper from the pad and then, I went ahead to get it trim, and adhere it down with double-sided tape over an A2 top folding white card base.
Therefore, after I’ve had gotten the card panel adhered to the card base, I quickly went ahead to get the card embellished by mounting a designed tag which is including in Some Days: Journaling Bits which I right afterwards got it embellished by mounting of the floral cluster including in Some Days: Elements Pack. Lastly, I created a mini die-cutting tag and bow using one of the patterned paper sheets using Mini Tags with Fillable Words Die Set and Artistic Bows Die Set which as soon after got them mounted over the card. Then, as a finishing touch I’ve got some of the enamel dots adhere down over the card as well as a tied bow which I’ve gotten created using a piece of DMC metallic gold.
For the third example, I went ahead to create a shaker bookmark using the left-over pieces from both paper sheets that I’ve used on both previous examples. Therefore, to do that, I went ahead to adhere down with double-sided tape both pieces and then, I used a piece of plastic along with my Project Life Fuse Tool and WRMK Fuse Tips and a combination of fine glitters from my stash to create the shaker process for it.
Once, I’ve had finished the shaker process, I went ahead to get the shaker bookmark embellished using some of the die cut shapes from the pack along with die-cutting images on which I’ve stamped using one of the stamp images from Sweet Lemonade Stamp Set + Sweet Lemonade Die Set along with Coral Reef Ink. And, to finish it off, I went ahead to pop a die-cutting bow along with some enamel dots for an extra touch of shine!
For the fourth and last example, I created a fun pocket using patterned paper sheets from the pad along with the left-over pieces of scraps. Therefore, I’d like to mention that I’ve got inspired by one of the pockets including in Some Days: Journaling Bits. Although, the journaling pack has already a pocket I decided to create my own to contrast with the whole set.
So, to create my own I went ahead to trim down one of the patterned paper sheets to H 6.0’’ x W 3-3/8’’ inches on which I also added a detailed edge using one of the dies from Slim Lacy Edgers Die Set. Then, I trimmed down a second panel to H 6.0’’ x 3-5/8’’ inches which I transferred to my scoring board tool to mark 1/4 of an inch from 3 sides of the panel.
Moving one, after I’ve had finished scoring the lines on each side, I’ve gone ahead to trim down in angle using my paper trimmer at the mark of 1.0’’ inch from the top side of it and 2.0’’ inches from the bottom side of it. Then, I folded the scoring lines over and get the folds adhere down with narrow double-sided tape to the other paper panel.
Lastly, I went ahead to get the pocket embellished using die cut shapes along with a mini tag which I’ve had previously created in the same way as I did for one of the examples above with the difference that for this, I added the fillable word dies to create the smile word on it. Then, to finish it off, I adhered down one of the enamel dots along with a piece of metallic DMC to add a pop of shine!
