Sleigh Bells Ring┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a “Good Cheer” holiday card made using Sleigh Bells Ring Stamp and Sleigh Bells Ring Coordinating Die by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I’ve made it ↓

To begin with, I started by inking it up a white card panel using Ballet Slipper Ink. Next, after I’ve had finished inking it up, I’ve gone ahead to set it aside. Then, I’ve gone ahead to line up over a second white card panel the mountains die from Falling For You Die Set. Thus, after I’ve had them both line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished die-cutting the mountains out the white card panel, I’ve gone ahead to ink up the die-cutting panel using Ocean Breeze Ink and Misty Coast Ink creating a gradient look by slightly inking up from bottom to top with Misty Coast Ink and Ocean Breeze Ink. So, after I’ve had finished the inking for both card panel, I’ve gone ahead to set them aside to let the ink sink into each card panel. Meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead to stamp the cute little reindeer and dog from the Sleigh Bells Ring Stamp as well as the sleigh from the same stamp set using Misty Coast Ink.

So, after I’ve had done stamping the critters, I’ve gone ahead to quickly watercolor them in using a mix of Blue, Aqua, Pink, Gray and Brown hues which I’ve had previously mixed on my mixing palette as well as Metallic Gold to add accents to their sweaters, scarf and hat. Therefore, after I’ve had finished water-coloring them, I’ve gone ahead to set them aside to let them air dry. Meanwhile, I came back to the inked card panel and I’ve gone ahead to stamp and white heat emboss each top of the mountains using the image stamp from Falling For You Stamp Set as well as WOW! Opaque Bright White and WOW! Embossing Pad.

Lastly, I’ve lined up (separately) over each card panel the Falling Snow Stencil to create the snow scene so therefore to do that, I’ve used a craft spatula and a little bit of Wallboard Joint Compound due that I kind of ran out of texture paste in the middle of my project. That said, to add a touch of sparkle I’ve mixed a bit of WOW! Sparkling Snow glitter. Thus, after I’ve had finished creating the sparkling falling snow over each card panel and both card panel were completely dry, I’ve gone ahead to trim their edges off and then, I’ve gone ahead to adhere them with double-sided tape over an A2 top folding white card base (as shown in the image above).

Finally, after I’ve had finished adhering the background panels to the card base, I’ve gone ahead to mount the die-cutting sleigh and the critters which I’ve had previously fussy cut out of the watercolor paper using a small pair of scissors. I’ve also mounted with craft foam tape a sentiment which I’ve had previously stamp and gold heat emboss on a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments from Merry and Bright Frame Stamp Set and its coordinated die from Merry and Bright Frame Die Set along with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich and WOW! Embossing Pad for the stamping and heat embossing. Then, as a finishing touch, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue some jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a sparkly touch.
NOTE: I’d like to mention that the die from Sleigh Bells Ring Coordinating Die set die-cut the whole image including the critters. However, I did it separately because I wanted to add extra dimension between both critters.
So, with that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step-by-step on how I’ve made this “Good Cheer” holiday card using stamp and die sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
