Sending Smiles & Hugs ┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a “Sending Smiles & Hugs” floral inspiration card made using the latest Garden Roses Stamp, Garden Roses Die and Garden Roses Layering Stencils sets. Along with this beautiful set, I’m using Color Block: Gradiating Stripes Die to add the gradient die-cutting texture to the card panel and Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set to add the stitched frame to it + Metallic Pearls -Gold to add a pop of shine and of course PFS- Inks to ink up the subtle and delicate floral cluster. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by lining up a white card panel over my Stencil Mat and then, I used the guidelines from the stencil #1 including in Garden Roses Layering Stencils to line up the stencil over the card panel. Next, I went ahead to use an ink blending brush to ink up through the stencil the large solid rose images with Ballet Slipper Ink and the smaller with Peach Fuzz Ink.

Then, I continued inking up the floral cluster using stencil # along with Sparkling Rose Ink and a touch of Warm Buff Ink to tone it down the bright pink for a dusty rose hue + Apricot Ink for the smaller roses. Stencil #3 along with Bubble Gum Ink and a touch of Warm Buff Ink for the muted large roses and Clementine Ink for the smaller roses. Thus, soon after that I’ve had finished inking up the roses, I went ahead to use stencil #4 along with Mint Ink and stencil #5 along with Meadow Ink. Since, I’ve had added a touch of brown to muted out the pink colors, I decided to add a little touch of Warm Buff Ink to the leaves to mute them as well.

Moving on, right after that I’ve had finished inking up the floral cluster, I went ahead to remove it from the stencil mat and then, I proceeded to place it inside my stamping tool, so I could have got it stamped and heat emboss it using the coordinating stamp image including in Garden Roses Stamp along with embossing ink and Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Having that said, after finishing the stamping and heat embossing, I went ahead to die cut the floral cluster out of the card panel using its coordinating die including in Garden Roses Die, and then I proceeded to get the die-cutting process for the card front frame.

Thus, to create the gradient striped frame, I went ahead to line up Color Block: Gradiating Stripes Die over a white card panel and then I run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, once I had that done, I went ahead to line up over another white card panel the two largest dies including in Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cutting machine. So, as soon as I’ve had finished the die-cutting process, I went ahead to start the card assembling.

For the card assembling, I went ahead to glue down with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue the stitched frame over the gradient striped frame. Next, I trimmed off the edges using my Comfort Paper Trimmer and then, I got the backing of the frame mounted with narrow pieces of craft foam adhesive to add dimension over an A2 size top folding white card base. Lastly, I got the floral cluster mounted as well with square foam adhesives over the right side of the card (as shown in the image above.) And, finally to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount the fussy cut out sentiment and the small sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamp and heat emboss over pieces of white cardstock using two sentiments including as well in the stamp set.

Then, as a finishing touch I went ahead to glue down here and there some Metallic Pearls -Gold to add even more shine to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Sending Smiles & Hugs” floral inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
