Sending Prayers & Hugs┃Inspiration Cards

Sending Prayers & Hugs┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Wednesday, I hope you’re finding time to craft Friends! Because, today I’ll be sharing with you these 2 simple and very soft, yet sparkly “Sending Prayers & Hugs” cards that, I’ve created with stamps and a set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump to the step by step on how to make them ↓

To begin with, I started by placing facing up inside my stamping tool the; Floral Shadow Background Stamp. Next, I placed over the background a white card panel and, I added a bit of temporarily adhesive to the backing of the card panel so it could stay in place during the stamping process then, and I picked the card panel up with my stamping tool. Right after that, to make it easy, I used the Brayer Tip from my Tool ‘n One to evenly add Pumice Stone Distress Oxide to the background stamp. Therefore, after adding the ink to the stamp, I closed the stamping tool door and I transferred the ink from the stamp to the card panel, I repeated this step 2X to achieve a better result.

So, after I had the stamping done, I set the card panel aside to let the ink dry. Meanwhile, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine both dies from the Frame Builder: Botanical Rectangle Die Set to die-cut them 2X (each) out of watercolor cardstock, and 6X (each) out of white cardstock.

Once, I had all die-cutting pieces done, I poked out of the white cardstock the positive pieces from them with the piercing tip from my Tool ‘n One. However, I left the watercolor die-cutting positive pieces in place because, I was going to do a quick water-coloring to add a pop of color. So, after I had the water-coloring done, I stacked each side of the botanical frame, and I glued them down with liquid glue (as shown in the image above) to the stampeded card panel to create the frame. Lastly, I inlaid the water-colored pieces that I’ve water-colored in Pink and Mint hues to add the pop of color.
NOTE: Because, one of the die from the set is designed with leaves on the edges, I wasn’t able to use my paper trimmer so, instead I decided to fussy cut the edges with sharp scissor to keep the leaves design.

Finally, after finishing the fussy cutting, I mounted the frame with craft foam and double-sided tape to an A2 side folding white card base, and I glued down with liquid glue the dimensional die-cutting words that I’d previously die-cut out from white and gold cardstock so, right afterwards, I called done that way the first card.

As for the second example, I honestly… wasn’t planning to make a second card but, what else could I have done with the leftover ink on the background stamp? Waste it!?? I didn’t think so! So instead, I sprayed some water with my Distress Sprayer Bottle, and I pressed a white card panel over it to see what I could have create with.

As you can see the result was phenomenal if… you’re a crafter that, likes subtle or why not Vintage paper pattern look if you will. Therefore, to add a pop of color, I added to the center of some not all the flowers from the pattern a slightly touch of pink so, do that I used the finest watercolor brush, and the lightest wash of Pink hue.

Moving on, after I added that touch of Pink to the flowers, I also added a Mint hue to the leaves to, keep a cohesive color vibe from one card to the other.

Lastly to keep it simple, I followed the same step as the previous example so, stacked the delicate leaves frames and I glued them down with liquid glue to the card panel but, this time I did used my paper trimmer to trim the edges down to create the frame. Finally, to finish the card off, I mounted the card panel with craft foam and double-side tape to an A2 side folding white card base and glued down with liquid glue the dimensional die-cutting words, to create the second sentiment.
By the way, the word dies are form the Phrase Builder: Sending Die Set and I used Glitter Gold and white cardstock for the die-cutting.

As a finishing touch, I covered the inlaid flowers and leaves with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and I glued down with liquid glue here and there some of the Heaven Sent Sequin Mix to add an extra touch of shine.
