Season's Greetings Deer Die┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this set of “Birthday & Holiday” season’s greetings cards made showcasing the cutest Season's Greetings, Deer Etched Die Set by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

To begin with, I started by making a birthday card so therefore, I’ve gone ahead to line up the each die from the Season's Greetings, Deer Etched Die Set over a large piece of Strathmore Watercolor Paper. Thus, after I’ve had them lined up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Once, I’ve had done die-cutting, I went ahead and repeat the same step to die-cut the pieces for the second card. With that said, after I’ve had done die-cutting all pieces for both deer, I went ahead to place each over my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface, and once I’ve had them onto place, I’ve quickly added a quick wash of watercolor using a mixing which I’ve had previously mix on my mixing palette using Pink, Brown and Green hues from my White Nights Watercolor Palette.

Moving on, after I’ve had finish water-coloring both deer, I’ve gone ahead to set them aside to let them air dry. Meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead to adhere with double-sided tape a foiled background over an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I’ve mounted in the center of the card with craft foam tape a detailed and foiled oval panel. Lastly, after my water-colored pieces were completely dry, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue each of them creating that way the first deer. Then, I’ve gone ahead to embellish it and last but not least, I’ve finished the card by adding highlights using acrylic white paint and by gluing down the die-cutting Greetings sentiment (Greetings die is included in the set) along with a smaller birthday sentiment which I’ve had previously stamped and gold heated emboss to complete the Birthday Greetings sentiment for the card.
NOTE: For the background, I’ve used Modern Lines Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform. Also, I’ve used Nestabilities Essential Ovals Etched Dies and Essential Glimmer Ovals Hot Foil Plates sets for the detailed oval panel. The small birthday sentiment is from one stamp set from my stash and I’ve had gold heat emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich.

For the second example, I’ve made an Actual Season’s Greetings card so therefore, I’ve gone ahead to assemble the pieces to create the second deer.

So, right after I’ve finished assembling the deer, I’ve gone ahead to glued it down with liquid glue to a foiled card panel which I’ve had foiled using Essential Glimmer Rectangles Hot Foil Plates and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold.

Lastly, after I’ve finished gluing each piece for the deer, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue the die-cutting words which I’ve had die-cut and stack out of gold and white cardstock to add dimension. Then, to finish the card off I’ve gone ahead to mount the card panel with craft foam and double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

Finally, as finishing touches, I’ve glued down with hot glue a little white pom-pom to the birthday hat and nose from one of the deer, as well as sequins to one of the cards to add a pop of shine!
