Seamless Floral Pattern┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this colorful set of “Floral” inspiration cards made using Seamless Floral Pattern stencil set from the latest December-2020 Stencil & Die Release by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To make the first example, I started by lining up over an A2 white card panel the Stencil #1 from Seamless Floral Pattern stencil set so therefore, after I’ve had them both line up I’ve gone ahead to ink up the card panel over the stencil using an ink blending brush along with Peach Fuzz Ink. Next, I went ahead to continue the inking over the card panel using the rest of the stencils from the set to complete the floral pattern. Thus, to do that I went ahead to ink up the card panel using Stencil #2 with Passion Fruit Ink, Stencil #3 with Clementine Ink, Stencil #4 with Mint Ink and Stencil #5 with Olive Ink.

That said, after I had finished the inking over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to use a pair of small scissors to fussy cut the whole floral pattern out of the card panel. Therefore, after I’ve had that step done, I went ahead to mount the fussy cut floral pattern with craft foam tape to a textured A2 white card panel which I’ve had previously created using white cardstock and Essentials: Stitches Die to add the stitched texture to it. Lastly, I went ahead to mount with craft foam tape on the lower right side of the card panel a stacked sentiment which I’ve had stamped, heated emboss and die-cutting out of white and gold cardstock using 2 sentiments from Hugs and Good Vibes Stamp Set and 2 dies from Essentials: Fancy Label Frames Die Set. Thus, to finish the card off, I went ahead to adhere the backing of the layered card panel (as shown in the image above) with double-sided tape over an A2 side folding white card base.

For the second example, I went ahead to repeat the same exact steps as I did in the first example to create the seamless floral pattern.

However, this time instead of fussy cutting the floral pattern out of the card panel, I kept it as is but nevertheless, I decided to add detailed edges on both sides of it so therefore, to do that, after I had finish the ink blending I went ahead to line up edge to edge over one side of the card panel one of the dies from Slim Lacy Edgers Die Set and then once I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to add the detailed lacy/stitched edge. Thus, after I’ve got the first edge done, I’ve gone ahead to repeat the same step to the other side of the card panel.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished adding the lacy/stitched edges to the card panel, I went ahead to place it upside down and then, I’ve gone ahead to carefully glue down with liquid glue 1 strip of gold cardstock to each detailed edge. Once, I had that done, I added pieces of craft foam tape to the card panel while still had it facing down and then, I peeled off the backing of the craft foam tape and I flipped it over to mount it over an A2 top folding white card base. At this point, I was thinking on mounting a sentiment in the same way as I did in the previous example but, I changed my mind so instead, I decided to go with a full panel sentiment using the large sentiment from Hugs and Good Vibes Stamp Set. So, for that, I’ve gone ahead to place the card inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I’ve gone ahead to get the sentiment stamped and heat embossing (as shown in the image above) using embossing ink and gold embossing powder.
