Sealed by Spellbinders Collection ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate set of inspiration cards made with an “Envelope Sealed” look showcasing the latest Sealed Collection by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I started by getting the hot foil stamping done for the card backgrounds. So, to do that, I went ahead to use the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to get two A2 size white card panels hot foil stamped using Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura plus the just-released Woodgrain Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Glimmering Swag Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Also, to keep going with the hot foil stamping, I used the Sealed Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate to get the sentiments hot foil stamped with the same foil hue. And lastly, I used the Sealed Berry Wreath Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to get the hot foil stamping done over one of the A2 Brushed Rose Gold Envelopes and over one of the A2 Brushed Gold Envelopes.

Next, after completing the hot foil stamping, I went ahead to use the Paper Trimmer to trim down 1/8 of an inch from each side of the wood-grain background, and then I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Then, to get the front panel of the card panel embellished, I used some of the dies included in Sealed Squiggles Etched Dies to cut them out from Gold cardstock and one of the dies included in Sealed Leaf Sprigs Etched Dies to cut out the sprig from green cardstock and lastly, the dies included in Sealed Flowers Etched Dies to cut out the stem from Green cardstock and its flowers from Yellow cardstock.

Moving on, after completing the die-cutting steps for all pieces, I went ahead to create a floral cluster with them, and then, I got the floral cluster adhered to the right side of the card. By the way, I used tiny pieces of craft foam adhesive to get the stem with the flowers mounted to add a little bit of dimension. Then, to finish the card off, I use one of the hot foil stamped sentiments, and then I got it mounted over the floral cluster with craft foam to add even more dimension. Finally, as finishing touches, I added Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems to the flower’s center and I paired the card with the Gold envelope and a wax seal that I created using the elements included in Wax Seal Starter Kit

For the second example, I made a similar card but this time I used Sealed Berry Sprig Etched Dies to cut out the stem from green cardstock and the berries from two different pink hues. Also, to complete the floral cluster by adding some of the sprigs that I got cut out from gold and green cardstock using the rest of the dies included in the sets that I used in the previous example.

Also, I used the other card background that I got hot foil stamped earlier, and instead of trimming down 1/8 of an inch, I trimmed down 1/4 of an inch. Then, to change a little bit, I got the floral cluster mounted over the left side of the card. Other than that, use another of the hot foil-stamped sentiments to finish the card off. Finally, to add the wax seal effect to the envelope, I used Peachy Pink Wax Beads and Thanks Mandala Wax Seal Stamp. By the way, the Sealed Berry Wreath Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set comes in two pieces for you to achieve a half wreath look just like I did in the first example over the brushed gold envelope, or to get the full wreath look just like I did it for this example over the brushed rose gold envelope.
