Happy Thursday, crafty friends! Do you love stripes? If so, I hope you like these 2 “Striped” inspiration cards made using POP OUT Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp and POP OUT Straight Stripes Background Stamp by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made them ↓
To begin with, I started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a white card panel. Then, I lined up over the card panel the POP OUT Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp. Once, I had them both lined up I pop out each section from the stamp except for the first stripe and frame. Therefore, after I had that step done, I started the stamping so, for the stamping I used the following ink colors; Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Coral Reef, Apricot, Clementine, Marigold, Sunshine, Fresh Pear, Mint, Ocean Breeze and Soft Lilac. Thus, after I’ve had completed stamping each diagonal stripe, I removed the background stamp from the stamping tool but, I kept the card panel onto place as I was going to place over it the Whole Lot of Awesome Stamp Set to get the large sentiment from the stamp set stamped and gold heat emboss it.
So, for the stamping I lined up the large sentiment and a few small image stamps (also included in the set) over the card panel, and then I prepped the card panel using lot of Embossing Powder Tool and once I had that done, I continued to stamp twice the sentiment and extra images for a better impression with WOW! Embossing Ink Pad. Thus, after I had the stamping done I removed the card panel and I added over the stamping Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder with that said after the whole stamping was covered with the powder, I went ahead to heat set it using my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool. Moving along, after I had the heat embossing finished, I trimmed the edges off from the card panel, and once I had that done, I foam mounting it with craft foam and double-sided tape over and A2 side folding white card base. Lastly, as a finishing touch I went ahead to get glue down with liquid glue here and there a combination of jewels and crystal confetti sequins to add a sparkly touch.
Although, both cards look similar… you definitely can see the difference between them as this was stamped using POP OUT Straight Stripes Background Stamp and the sentiment was stamped and gold heated emboss using Hugs and Good Vibes Stamp Set instead. Other than that, the process was basically the same.
So, same as the previous example once I had the stamping and heat embossing done, I trimmed the edges off from the card panel, and I mounted it with craft foam and double-sided tape to add dimension. Finally, to finish the card off, I also got glued down sequins and jewels to compliment the sparkle on each of the cards.
