With that being said, today I’d like to start by sharing with you a very delicate “Slimline Floral” handmade inspiration card with a fun fold made using the just released Daisy Slimline Frame Stamp Set, Daisy Slimline Frame Die and Daisy Slimline Frame Layering Stencil Set. Along with this beautiful set, I’m also using Slim Stitched Rectangles Die Set to add the stitching effect to the card frame and Essentials Slimline Envelope Die Set to create the coordinating card slimline envelope. Last but not least, I’ve also used PFS- Inks for the layering stencil process. So, without further ado let me share how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by doing the layering stencil process first, so to do that, I went ahead to line up a large piece of white cardstock over my Stencil Mat, and then I started to line up over it the stencil #1 including in Daisy Slimline Frame Layering Stencil Set. Once, I had that step done, I went ahead to start inking up the card panel throughout the stencil using an ink blending brush.

Thus, I will skip the whole layering stencil process as by now I’m assuming that you’re having the main idea for how that goes. However, I will share the color combination I used to ink up the daisy floral frame. By the way, the stencil set includes 6 stencil therefore for the inking I used: Ballet Slipper Ink and Sparkling Rose Ink for the pink daisies. Coral Reef Ink and Passion Fruit Ink for the coral daisies. Peach Fuzz Ink and Apricot Ink for the orange daisies. Lemon Whip Ink and Sunshine Ink for the yellow daisies + Clementine Ink and a touch of Espresso Ink for the center of the daisies. Besides that, I also used: Grassy Knoll Ink with a touch of Warm Buff Ink + Olive Ink and a touch of Espresso Ink for the leaves.

Next, after I had finished inking up the card panel, I went ahead to line up over it the Daisy Slimline Frame Die which happens to be its coordinating die, to cut out the center of the frame. So, to do that, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, to keep going with the die-cutting, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the 2 larger dies including Slim Stitched Rectangles Die Set to cut a decorative stitched frame out of the cardstock.

Once, I’ve had gotten finish the die-cutting process, I went ahead to start the card assembling, so to do that, I’ve got adhered to the backing of the inked frame a large piece of acetate using 1/8” of an inch double-sided adhesive. Next, with the same size adhesive, I went ahead to adhere the stitched frame facing with the pretty side towards to the back side of the card if make sense, as half of it will be showing out after getting mounted to the card base.

As for the card base, this slimline card bases measures W 9.0” x H 4.0” inches, so I went ahead to mark a scoring line at the point of 1-3/4” inches from bottom to top over the front flap of the card using my Scoring Board. At the same time, I’ve got also marked a few more lines over and under that particular scored line not only to add a subtle lined texture to the front flap of the card base, but to blend in the folding line with the rest. Having that said, after finishing the scoring for the card base, I went ahead to mount the backing of the floral frame with square foam adhesives the bottom part of the card base to raise a little dimension and then, I pulled up the top of the floral frame reveling that way not only the fun fold, but the easel effect created as well by the fold.

Last but certainly not least, I went head to finish the card off by gluing down a large card sentiment in the center of the card and a smaller card sentiment on the bottom inside the card. Sentiments, which I’ve had gotten previously stamp and gold heat emboss over white cardstock using the sentiments including in Daisy Slimline Frame Stamp Set which by the way happens to be the coordinating stamp for the set. Noted that I did not use the stamp image including in the set to stamp the detailed outline image for the daisies frame, because I wanted to achieve a no-line coloring look for it. Also, I decided not to add any embellishment to keep the main focus to the inked frame, however I did create a coordinating envelope using white cardstock and Essentials Slimline Envelope Die Set. Envelope, which I’ve got embellished with another inked card panel created in the same way as I did for the card. Don’t you just love how the perfect space in the middle of the frame fits to well over the envelope to add the name or address for the card recipient!!??
