Happy Release Day Crafters! Today, Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating their March-2021 Cling Stamp, Stencil, Die & Hot Foil Release with a fabulous blog hop. So therefore, if you’re hopping along with us, welcome as you should have arrived here from Wanda’s Blog but, if this is your starting point, I’d like to invite you to start from → Pinkfresh ‘Blog or by clicking the direct link provided below which will take you directly to the full list for this wonderful hop.
With that being said, today I’d like to start by sharing with you these sophisticated “Ink Blending and Foil Stamping” inspiration cards made using the just released Blushing Floral Layering Stencil Set which is the coordinating layered stencil set for the previous released Blushing Floral Cling Stamp and the newest addition Thank You So Much Hot Foil Plate & Thank You So Much Die hot foil plate. So, without further ado let me share all details with you ↓
For the first example I went ahead to create a no-line ink blended card panel using just the newly Blushing Floral Layering Stencil Set so, as all other layering stencil set by Pinkfresh this set includes 6 stencil in the set. Thus, for the ink blending, I went ahead to use the following ink color combination; Ballet Slipper Ink, Coral Reef Ink, Berrylicious Ink, Peach Fuzz Ink, Apricot Ink, Fresh Pear Ink, Grassy Knoll Ink and Olive Ink.
Thus, right after that I’ve had finished the ink blending over the white card panel using each stencil from the set, I went ahead to set it off to the side and then I repeated the same steps to get ink up 3 more white card panel in the same exact way. Therefore, as soon as I’ve had finished inking up all card panels, I’ve gone ahead to trim off the edges from one of the card panel slightly smaller than the card base and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of it with double-sided tape over an A2 top folding white card base.
Moving on, after having the card base ready, I went ahead to set it off aside while I started off by getting my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine ready for the foiling part. Therefore, while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up the newly Thank You So Much Hot Foil Plate over a white card panel along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass which I’ve got cut out from the roll using my Quick Trimmer.
So, right after that my platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get the card panel foiled and once I’ve had that done and my foiling was looking good, I’ve proceeded to line up over the foiled sentiment the Thank You So Much Die which, happens to be its coordinating die. Lastly, right after that I’ve got finished die-cutting the sentiment out of the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to add dimension to it and once I’ve got that done, I finished the card off by getting it mounted over the card (as shown in the image above.) Because, I had too much going on between the ink blending, foiling and dimension, I decided not to add embellishment however, I did add an extra touch to the envelope by using one of the ink blended card panels as envelope liner for a floral matching look.
I wanted to stop here but, I couldn’t resist not sharing a second card for you to see how the layered stenciling look like along with the stamped image from Blushing Floral Cling Stamp. Although, I’ve used Misty Coast Ink for a subtle look, I’m sure you can spot the differences from the outlined image between both examples. Other than that, the design is basically the same with the unique difference that I went ahead to do the foiling and die-cutting straight over the ink blending card panel for a dimensional ghost yet shiny effect.
Here are some images above for you to see both examples side-by-side. The stamping along with the ink blending using the layered stencil set are very forgiving without mention that the addition of the foil which for sure adds a very sophisticated look to any project!
By the way, if you’re not much into envelope liners but, like the idea to add an extra touch of your envelopes, here’s one more thing as you can partially use part of the stencils for a quick ink blending design to the front flap of the envelope for a matching look. With that said, I hope these sophisticated “Ink Blending and Foil Stamping” inspiration cards inspire you to give them a try!
