Hello, Spring Greetings┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’m excited to share with you this delicate set of “Spring Greetings” inspiration cards made using new stamps, stencil set and dies by Pigment Craft Co. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To begin with, I’m sure if you’re a crafter who likes to make shaped greeting cards, you’ll definitely love this unique Apron String Stamp Set and Apron String Die specially… if you have a baker friend or family member or why not, those friends who likes gardening. Therefore, for today’s first example, I started by creating an apron-shaped card using the detailed stamp image from the stamp set to stamp with embossing ink over a large piece of white cardstock. Next, right after that I’ve finished the stamping over the cardstock, I’ve gone ahead to sprinkle some gold embossing powder which right afterwards I’ve gotten heat set it using my heat gun tool.

Thus, as soon as I’ve finished heat setting the embossing powder, I went ahead to line up its coordinating die and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the apron out of the cardstock. Therefore, after finishing the die-cutting for the detailed apron, I went ahead to die-cut a second apron out of white cardstock along with the pocket + the stitched detail and the 2 pieces with the scoring line that works as connectors for both sides to create the apron-shaped card.

That said, after having all my die-cutting pieces done, I started the assembling for it so to do that, I started off by gluing down with liquid glue the apron pocket to the heat embossed die-cut piece. Next, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue as well the connectors along with the back die-cut piece for the apron. So, after having the apron-shaped card assembled, I went ahead to stamp and gold heat emboss a sentiment over the apron pocket using a sentiment from Pocketful of Joy Stamp Set. Lastly, to finish my cute apron-shaped card, I went ahead to embellish it by filling up the apron pocket with some flowers which I’ve had previously stamped and die-cut out of white cardstock using once again, Pocketful of Joy Stamp Set and Pocketful of Joy Die Set + TSM Inks.

Now, for the next example, I went ahead to make a standard A2 size card using this gorgeous Frame Builder: Hello Beautiful Stamp and Stencil Bundle. Therefore, I went ahead place an A2 size white card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I lined up over it the stamp image from the bundle. Once, I’ve had that done, I’ve gone ahead to stamp twice the leaves over the card panel using Curry color ink. And, as soon as I’ve had finishing stamping over it, I’ve gone ahead to get the layered stenciling started using both stencils from the set included in the bundle.

Thus, to ink up the flowers through the first stencil, I’ve used Blush Pink, Bubble Gum and Melon Orange inks for the solid image then, I’ve used Peony, Cotton Candy, and Rusty color inks for the detailed image on the second stencil. Lastly, I’ve also used Black ink to stamp the center of the flowers as well as the black dots around them.

Although this set also has Frame Builder: Hello Beautiful Die as its coordinating die, I decided to skip the die-cutting step for a one layer looking card. That said, right after that I’ve had finished the inking for the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to stamp and gold heat emboss the cute sentiment including in the stamp set (as shown in the image above.) Then, right after that I went ahead to trim off the edges from it, and as soon as I’ve had finish that step, I’ve got it mounted with craft foam tape to an A2 top folding white card base to add a bit of dimension.

And, because there’s not apron without strings… I went ahead to add a piece a white Hemp cord to use it as its strings and as a finishing touch, I added jewels to make the berries sparkle and also Glossy Accent to the black dots to make them shine! With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate set of “Spring Greetings” inspiration cards.
