Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you another “Floral & Framed” inspiration card which, I made to play along with March-2022 Frame It Up Challenge so, to do this card, I used: Delicate Floral Print Stamp and Delicate Floral Print Layering Stencils to create the floral background. Essentials: Ornate Oval Frame Die to create the dimensional and decorative frame. My Favorite Things to Say 2 stamp Set for the card sentiment plus, Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set to add the stitching details to the card background frame and last but not least, PFS- Inks to add the subtle pop of colors to the flowers and leaves. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓
Therefore, I started off by getting the stamping done for the card background, so to do that, I went ahead to place down inside my MISTI Mini Stamp Tool the Delicate Floral Print Stamp and then, I’ve got inked up the floral background with VersaMark Ink Pad twice for a better impression over an A2 size white card panel. Next, I added Gold embossing powder over the stamped image and then, I went ahead to get the embossing powder melted using my Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool.
Next, after getting the heat embossing done over the card panel, I went ahead to place down the card panel over my MAKE ART Stay-tion-All-In-One Magnetic Surface to get the layered stenciling done over it. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to use each stencil included in Delicate Floral Print Layering Stencil Set along with some regular size ink blending brushes in combination of Mini Ink Blending Brushes to add details to the stenciling.
As for the hues I used: Ballet Slipper Ink and Coral Reef Ink to ink up some of the flowers + Peach Fuzz Ink and Apricot Ink to ink up the others. Then, Olive Ink and Evergreen Ink for the leaves and lastly, Misty Coast Ink for the berries. Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished doing the layered stenciling over the card panel, I went ahead to put it off to the side to let the ink settle into it.
Meanwhile, I went ahead to cut out the decorative oval frame. So, to do that, I went ahead to line up the Essentials: Ornate Oval Frame Die over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I’ve got them run through my die cut machine. Then, I repeated the same step two more times to achieve a sturdy decorative oval frame once I’ve got them layered over together. Next, as soon as the card panel was dry out, I went ahead to line up over it the largest die included in Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set not only to cut out the frame from it but to add the stitching details to it.
Moving on, after getting the die-cutting process completed, I went ahead to get the card sentiment stamped and heat embossing with the same Gold embossing powder over a piece of Glimmer Specialty Clear Film. A piece larger enough to get adhered underneath the decorative oval frame. By the way, for the card sentiments, I used one of the sentiments included in My Favorite Things to Say 2 stamp set. Lastly, for the card assembling, I went ahead to foam mounting the backing of the card panel over an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to use skinny pieces of craft foam tape to mount the oval frame over the card to add more dimension. Anyway, I would like to add that this design can easily turn out into a shaker card as well.
Here, I grabbed the graphic from the original Pinkfresh post to share it with you just in case, you want to participate using this month’s theme and color palette. And of course, using any Pinkfresh frame dies that you might have in your stash. Also, you can → CLICK HERE to go to the main post to follow the steps for how to participate and for how to add any submission that you might create using this month’s challenge theme and to get inspired as the team had created some awesome projects as well.
Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use my Art Jewels Picker to glue down here and there some of the Jewels: Bubblegum to add an extra touch of sparkle to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Floral & Framed” inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
